well, from what I have played, it looked like your generic MMORPG in Star Trek universe. Which souds kind of cool, but I believe itll get old fast and the only use it will have is meeting extremely nerdy chicks, who are chicks in 1 case out of 10
Thats still better odds than I get normally

Is meteor falling in your general area, or nuclear bomb on Sydney causing a lots of woman refugees, unpredictable enough?

Aliasalpha: (there's a space in the actual character name but I think that gets removed in the address)

Nope, the space is intact, as are capital letters (though the search isn't case sensitive).

Sounds good to me, let me know the schedule and I'll have my camera ready. How do you mean to ensure that the refugees will be women?

Not when you're announcing your plans on a public forum.
Well, since I had no idea it was coming, I will have to go and check it out. Does anyone know if it carries any form of DRM? Thanks.

Aliasalpha: Anyone up for a bit of fleet action?

Sure! Sounds great. My handle is Robert@TheCheese33, and I roll in the USS Minerva.

When the International space station starts plummeting to Earth the US will probably aim it at Australia like they did with Skylab.

"Where can we dump this hunk of junk without killing anyone?"
"Eh, just leave it at that Australia place. NOBODY lives there."

xabbott: I am in the beta, and I can't believe people are playing the same game as me.
It's Champions Online...with space stuff. Anyone who played Champions (like myself), would know not to give this company more money.
They seem to have a business plan of taking games that need 3-4 years of development and shipping them in 2. How does this work out? Well you just hype, get pre-order money, get lifetime subscription suckers, and offer 6-12 month subs.
In any case, one of the main problems carried over from CO is the graphics engine. I thought it was an Nvidia issue but 3 systems (1 with ATI) and it has been bad across the board.

My major problem with Champions is that they made it painfully obvious that it wasn't going to be their most awesome game. In fact, the most awesome game they've made, Star Trek Online, was used to get people to order more 6, 12, and lifetime subscriptions.
I am against buying lifetime subscriptions for something like this unless I know they will last, but I am more than happy to keep playing each month, because unlike Champions, this is really, really fun.
