Thanks for the giveaway and +1 for you.

I'll probably write the paragraph later.
I'm in like Flynn! Thanks Tarnicus, you da man!

I have two anime recommendations which probably won't fit well with you. :p

Dragon-half is a somewhat old anime following an incredibly strong half-human half-dragon girl and her two friends in a quest to retrieve some MacGuffin and defeat an ubermonster. You could think of it as if Dragon Ball was made a parody because almost every character is a butt monkey. As I said it is old (so much that the ideal female figure isn't Barbie-shaped. Also, there's even a VCR appearance.) and sorta childlike yet stripperiffic but it's still worth a look, trust me. At least watch the first episode (it is hilarious). Unfortunately it didn't get past the second episode before being cancelled but the manga goes a lot farther, up to chapter 66.

The second recommendation is quite the opposite: dark, tragic, sci-fi... and mecha. Bokurano tells the story of a group of kids that accidentally sign up to pilot an alien mecha suit to defend the Earth against other mechas that appear from some mysterious place from time to time. But as soon as they win their first battle they discover the price is too high: the mecha is powered up by the pilot's life force and every victory costs up the pilot's life. It is complete, but it strays somewhat from the manga which is way better so I would read the latter before watching the former.

Edit: both are short, too. Bokurano goes for no more than 24 episodes or 66 chapters. Dragon-Half as mentioned doesn't get past episode 2 but reaches 66 chapters as well.

I'm in like Flynn! And I'm in for Two Worlds 2: Epic Edition if that's okay.

As I am still confused about the differences between anime, cartoon, and am not really following any, I'll skip that part. Thanks for the giveaway.

As for favorite Anime, I am probably going to get laughed at as its not real anime, but Avatar the last airbender. The story was epic. Uncle Iroh was funny and at the same time sage. All around just a lot of fun to watch with my children. Can't wait for Korra to start up again in September.
Grats Tarnicus on being a hoarder!! Not sure if that is a good thing or not...

Not too into anime though. Thanks for the opportunity Tarnicus.

Thank you for spreading positivity, and good luck with your dental surgery. That's got to be unpleasant for now but I hope it ends well.

Gotta admit I have no clue about anime. I'm sure I've seen some but don't know the difference between that, hentai, or what other variety of Japanese animation exists out there. So as much as I'd like a 2nd entry for better odds, hopefully one entry will suffice.
Thank you Tarnicus. Good luck with the dental job and enjoy the pain meds :).

Not sure about what kinds of anime you like, but here are a couple of recommendations:

Dennou Coil is a sci-fi series for kids, but I absolutely loved it. It's a story about a group of kids, set some time in the future when augmented-reality "glasses", are commonplace. These are a lot like Google Glass, but far more advanced (and this was from 2006). It starts out with all fun and games, but gets pretty dark/serious/weird towards the end.

Baccano! is just absolutely crazy from beginning to end. Discussing the story here would ruin the experience of watching it. The first one or two episodes might be confusing, but it all comes together in the end, and it's awesome when it does.

ive never really been a big anime fan, but I did enjoy spirited away and princess mononoke when I was younger.

low rated
Not in (don't qualify anyway). Just want to say, awesome giveaway! +1

I don't mind throwing in an anime suggestion though. I liked Steamboy, even if it wasn't highly rated. The movie takes place in an alternate history 1800s England. The Steam family (corny I know) has a fallout over the application of their newest invention as either advancing humanity or the art of war.... I'll just go now. *hides under rock*

Anime really isn't something I've watched very much. About the only thing I vaguely remember seeing as a kid is Unico, the Last Unicorn. I think I've seen both of the longer movies - not the pilot - but I can't really comment about them because I think I was only 4 or 5 when I saw them.

Thanks for the giveaway!

Sunrise (the studio who did Steamboy) has done some great anime. Thanks for the suggestion +1. A few more +1s in the next few days and you'll be in. I love the irony of suggesting an anime in a giveaway with the same name as one of the platforms for which the prize can be redeemed :)
