For making the PC version of Metro Exodus to be sold on the Epic Games store instead of on gog.com, Epic Games store, and Steam.

I know you guys are letting Deep Silver and Koch Media be run independently, but doing exclusives like this is Anti-Customer.

If it's twelve months exclusive whatever, but still.

I am making this topic here because THQ Nordic reads the gog.com forums.

Not gonna post a comment on the Epic Games forums or THQ Nordic's forums, because gog.com is the place I use.

Yep it will be twelve months exclusive.

Still a shame.

I just find it hilarious that THQ Nordic let them run their publishing independently, we are talking about the ones who removed Ranger Hardcore from Last Light and sold it separately as DLC or was it pre order until Redux not to mention that they had economic troubles because of their shitty management no doubt.
epic games store isnt gonna be popular, they only made a store cos of the popularity of fortnite and tbh its not gonna be a contender for steam or GOG dnt forget discord has a games store aswell but thats poor also as they dnt add that many titles. ofc i think more people will buy metro o nsteam anyways cos alot of people hate fortnite and dnt want to support epic games in anyway, same as me only launcher id support is battle net and GOG
And what do you think? Of course Epic throw some $$$.
Would we have gotten it day one anyways?

But yea, fuck exclusives.
This situation should be an eye opener to all devs, don't lock your customers to just 1 store. Forcing them to try and buy from somewhere they don't like may backfire.
I hope those publishers or devs realize those exclusivity short term cash gains can potentially damage their brand names versus their long term outlooks.
I'm not really interested in the new Metro game even know I love the first two, imo the story line should of covered someone else as Artyoms story has come to an end and it's been a long one. (Yes I'm a fan of the bittersweet ending.)

Companies pay for exclusives and steam and epic probably put down more cash and did a better deal, I'm happy with games coming to gog a little later as long as we know we are getting them but one year is quite a long time.

Judging by some of the rumors and games being rejected by gog I wouldn't be surprised if gog didn't bother getting back to the devs and thus missed getting the game on gog.
I'd cancel your Steam preorder if you had one too. Because who knows how much attention update wise the Steam version will even get since they'd rather massage Epics balls. I know they said they'd honor Steam preorders, but yeah, fuck Epic on principle alone.

I had a feeling about this new metro game that we will not see it here... not happy to know about it now... THQ if you are reading this, that Unreal store deal can ruin sales of this game and the rep of your company if it brushes people the wrong way..

I am not happy cause I wanted to get the third one to complete the series here but now we might be stuck with half a set like Crysis here.
This sudden decision will just hurt the Metro brand and THQ. If it was decided when the game was announced people would cool down by now, but this close to release it will just do damage.

Yea after how hard Fallout 76 people have been shafted and I think are still being shafted, I wouldn't pre-order shit.
It's too bad this had to happen with a series people really liked. Metro 2033 and Last Light looked very cool.

I wonder how much Epic coughed up for this to happen.
Hopefully old games like Unreal stay safe for people who've never played them.

Epic Games store doesn't have a forum.

No wonder my friend requests keep getting ignored.

EPIC Game Store also has exclusive rights to The Walking Dead: Final Chapter and we may never see it here unless you bought the first chapter here. Other then that its Epic store or nothing for the game :(

bright side, we could see the new Metro here next Feb 2020!
