What's that coming over the hill?

Iron Harvest is coming soon, DRM-free to GOG.com.
The Great War is over but the giant mechs that took part in it are still roaming the streets of the three dominant European empires. Now a new threat is working secretly to try and spark another conflict, which could throw the continent into chaos. Manage your squads of heroes, soldiers, and badass mechs in sandbox levels full of dynamic RTS objectives that can be tackled in more ways that one.

Check out the game's Kickstarter campaign here.
Man, I was really waiting for this kickstarter but 45$ minimum tier is too much for me. Still will get it after it gets released.
Hadn't heard of this before now. Looks interesting. Glad it'll be available on GOG. :)

Edit: It's on Kickstarter.

We're promoting games that haven't even been funded now? This is a new low...

The game is in its early development phase and is scheduled to launch 2019.
ASSUMING IT GETS FUNDED?

What the fuck GOG??
Pretty interesting that the game wasn't even funded yet and it's already on GOG. I'm fine with this decision if you can give us a detailed explanation of why did you decide to accept the game like this (basically how can you trust the developers that they deliver [even if they fail the kickstarter goal])

I think I can say about the game by looking at the screenshots: I never been so disappointed in a game's genre before, the aesthetics are so good it's a waste on an RTS, just imagine facing those awesome mechs first person/third person.
Oh, so this is in the Scythe universe...

I find it a pity to turn it into a mere rts. What I like the most about Scythe is that armed conflict is better avoided. :/

Also, opening this store page while the Crowdfunding has barely started is a dick move, GOG, plain and simple.

As far as I'm concerned, you're losing more and more points.

GOG is providing official confirmation that the game will release here and also giving the Kickstarter a bit of advertising. I don't see a problem with it. I didn't know about the game before reading about it here.

They're promoting a videogame noone heard of that has a POLISH artist (and the team ay be too)...

I'm personally not "fine" with this...
Looks awesome. Probably no way my computer will handle it.. but release is about a year away so who knows.

I don't see why that's a problem... ?

And the devs have delivered three prior games via Kickstarter.

I heard of it before.
Also its a company GoG have worked with before, with a successful history of kick starters.
So at the very least wait until the Kickstarter is over and the game is at least funded?
And I'd hardly get any hype up for Dec 2019 as soon... but then again GOG know Soon™...

This is not deserving of an official newspost IMO...

According to the Kickstarter page, the estimated release for the game is 4Q of 2019 (or December 2019). I do not think the game is "coming soon"! Add the usual delays of these kind of crowd funded projects, and we can even see the game in 2020.

Why not.
There will already be a Steam page set up.
This way GoG has somewhere for GoG related traffic to go.

Steam gets a lot of pre-release custom and interest and people that would prefer GoG often don't know about gog release until much later.
The initial text of the kickstarter almost makes it sound like the project could be funded without kickstarter. Almost. Plus, that was my assumption given GOG's creation of a store page for it. However, the top-of-page video and funding part clearly show the goal price of the kickstarter is to complete the base game.
[whatever]
