Impressions who developed the game came into there own with Caesar 3. Caesar 2 was a best selling game, but Caesar 3 added a bit more realism to the table and there next 3 games (Pharoah, Zeus, Emperor) all used a modified version of this games engine. Impressions never got battles quite mastered, there games were more God Like and micro management then all-in-1 simulators. Of course Sim City type games started to lose poularity as more and more gamers demanded battles, and so the God games slipped in there popularity
What you get with Caesar 3 is a starting block to a side of gaming now sadly missing in my opinion. With this release there is a chance to get Pharoah, Zeus and Emperor in the future, and when that happens you will have a nice little collection of building block games that any gamer would be proud off. Im certainly not emaressed to say I own these titles and enjoy going back to them from time to time.
