Continuing our Sierra releases, we're giving you the classic city builder set in the First Century - Caesar 3. Are you the next Caesar or will you end up as lunch for the lions?
[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/caesar_3]Caesar 3 is a city building sim by Sierra On-Line, in which you build and govern a Roman settlement, with all the complexity you can expect from such a task. It is considered by many to be the best installment of the four-part Caesar series. Throughout the game you will have to cater to the individual needs of both the richest patricians and the lowest plebs. Building roads, making sure there is enough food, water, jobs and entertainment, providing security through forming and commanding Legions... All this rests on your shoulders. No one ever said being Caesar would be an easy job. Be sure to check out GOG.com's trailer for this title.
excellent !! Will certainly get it, but the actual overflow in my backlog of games is so overwhelming that i have to slow down a little bit...
I've a friend who's obsessed with this game, though they did run into trouble getting it to run on their newest machine. Looks like a chance to spread the word a little bit more.
I remember playing this at friend's house back then. Not my cup of tea, but quite good game anyways.
Ahhh, a game I do remember.
Added to my wishlist!
"To help you achieve that goal you can ask your advisors for their insight or ask the people about they toughs."
So how about they toughs? :)
This begs the question: when will the rest of the city builders - Pharaoh, Emperor, and Zeus - appear?
My introduction to the series was with Pharaoh. I still have that disc somewhere, and I got Emperor for free from some gaming magazine a number of years ago, but all the above games would be instabuys for me.

Same here (except that I got Zeus and not Emperor from a gaming magazine). And also here the question: Was the bug fixed that attacking armies are too fast in Caesar 3?
Did you guys notice that the next game is Interstate 76? And did you notice that it already has its own page?
And, more important, it looks exactly like Driver Parallel Lines (wrong screenshots...)...
Nevermind Caesar! Interstate '76 is coming!!!
If they get that game to run nicely on vista then I might just buy it again, even though I have a nice boxed copy somewhere.

It's got its own forum too. Well I76 Arsenal has. Which I suppose is like a gold edition?
Them Romans don't just cross the Rubicon, they go where the hell they like. Roadblocks! We need more roadblocks!
A great, great game but i remeber it got a bit crazy to manage a huge city. I really hope GOG release some of the other titles which i never got to try.
Good addition.
