Sogi-Ya: I can dump my Bulletstorm key from Gamefly into Origin!?!?!?!?! kick-ass!
... it won't get rid of GFWL.

Just so you know.
*shrug* while it would be cool to not have to deal with those bullshit 35 min - 3 hour "patch" downloads whenever I reinstall, I have lived through worse than GFWL.

I suspect that those "downloads" are actually just GFWL validating the entire game file for any hacks
... As I said...

It won't get rid of GFWL. You'll download the game through Origin but you're STILL going to have to deal with the 3 hour patch downloads.

I won't even bother downloading that game then, so thanks for the heads up.

Thankfully I got the 360 version for $5. Now I just have to actually finish it some day......
Anyone got a list of what other DRM comes on which game (Steam,Origin aside)?

IMO, that is a mistake.

The PC version of Bulletstorm has a fan made INI editor out that lets you fuck with just about everything in the game. beyond just the typical issues like manually setting the FOV and adjusting visual effect, you can also dick with the damage for all of the weapons and fiddle with the enemy AI.

GFWL is a crappy system, but it wont rape your nostrils or anything; inconvenience is the biggest issue, and that "download" we are bitching is typically a one time ordeal when you install. I think you can actually skip it and play in SP with a few bugs, but I am not sure as I just let it run and wander off to do something else for a while. once you have the game set up GFWL generally stays the fuck out of your way and you can set up an off line account to not be bothered with most of its issues.

even if you do just go with a console version, Bulletstorm is one of the best shooters I have played in a long time, so enjoy.

Looks like they sorted the Date Night DLC for Sims 3 out. I just got my key with instructions.
My friend who bought the bundle said hers came with the Red Carpet collection. How odd.
is anybody else having trouble with recaptcha? I wanted to fetch two bundles to give Burnout Paradise to friends, but recaptcha won't do anything after i write the words and press 'enter'. Pretty sure I wrote them correctly and my enter key is working properly.

(silly me, just needed to continue with the paying process, no need to hit enter, recaptcha doesn't go away.)

thanks for the info!

Garrett24601: If you want a generic modern FPS single player experience that makes you launch the game through the website, then by all means give it a go. I'm not very far into it and I'd rather play Halo single player and I hate Halo. All silliness aside it looks nice and reminds me a bit of Call of Duty (also not a huge fan of).

amok: Cheers, I might give it a try one of these days then, just to see how it is
The SP campaign for BF3 is pretty ordinary. Having said that, its better than the SP of Medal of Honor or the COD Modern Warfare (cant remember if it was number 2 or 3 which was out at the same time....3 was very short. Might have been number 2 then)
Yeah of all the shitty military shooters, I enjoyed BF3 singleplayer the most. It is just as shitty as the others, but at least it has some beatiful graphics and level design and ocasional nifty moment.
One problem I have with it is that controller support is half assed and QTEs do not work properly.

I also liked BF3's SP - good, but not great, It felt like someone put too much COD SP into my BF3 SP.

Regardless, I think BF3 MP is where it's at, if you're playing BF3. The MP is awesome - and honestly, it always has bene for the BF game series.

Foxhack: Gotta save something for Humble Origin Bundle 2: Bioware Points Edition.
YES! I could use some BioWare Points, so I can buy ALL of that DA2 DLC; ME2 DLC; and ME3 DLC that I'm missing. :D

Help me out here a little, because I'm quite confused about the whole Sims 3 deal and how to register it at the moment.
First of all: I got mine as a gift (thanks samlii!): it was a single code, that opened three new items in my game library: The base game, and two expansions. I installed the base game only at first, and when I launched it, it said I should register my copy. As we know at this point, someone gone 'n fucked up the codes, because the code you used to unlock the games in Origin, can't be used to registering the game.

I understand that in order to fix the whole mess, they sent new keys to each individual buyers, this time having a separate code for each item (one for base game etc.)? And you should use that new key to register the game (inside the game or at Sims3.com)? What about the DLC, do they need some extra activation procedures as well? Also, what about someone like me who got their game as a gift: Is there no way for me to register my copy except by bugging the guy who sent me the key in the first place and ask for the replacement keys? Or with my current assets, can I register it some other way?

Man, I understand EA was trying to get positive publicity for themselves and to their client with this bundle, and while I appreciate the gesture and cheap games, especially the deal with Dead Space 3, I gotta say based on my experiences I will definitely NOT use Origin any longer after I'm done with these games. The whole mess with the registration problems, content being pulled from the deal because of "technical problems" (the Date Night DLC), duplicate items on people's shelves (can't remember the GOGers name but I saw at least he had Sims 3 twice on his account)... While my initial reaction for Origin was positive, the whole Sims 3 fuck-up completely ruined any lingering interest I had towards the client. I've used Steam for about three years: no major problems. I've used Origin for three days: huge problems. Playing and installing games on Origin is much more smooth: I can give it that, but other than that: what a piece of shit client (or perhaps it's not the client's fault, but the people behind it: in any case, good bye Origin after I'm done with the games I already have in there).

Sorry if my initial question got a little side-tracked and negative. Just wanted to voice my opinion while I'm at it.
Here, have my Medal of Honor Origin key to compensate: 7KRR-NKWJ-TZQE-HHYX-JVN1 (replace that last 1 with a K). I know I'm not gonna ever use it.
You know what's sad? EA basically just give away a load of games and ask only that people give some money to charity and at the end of the day I'm still more pissed off at them as a result. How the hell did they manage to make Origin so much worse than GFWL?

amok: A little question - as someone who shuns multiplayer like a plague, is there even any point in downloading Battlefield 3, or should I just not bother?
Surprisingly, for a Facebook game, Battleville 3 does have a single player campaign of the usual level of competence associated with modern military FPS. It's the kind of thing that would make you wonder why they didn't just make a movie instead (if it weren't for the ROI). But yeah, since you got the game already it's worth trying even if it's below average in every sense other than graphics and sound.
