I want a wrestling management sim that isn't totally janky. Take over a territory, sign wrestlers, book their matches, sell merchandise, try to keep competitors from signing away your best talent, etc. There are games like this, but they always either lack challenge or they just have nonsensical stuff going on with the gameplay.
Pre-Columbian assassin/adventurer/spelunker.
Either a colonist or a native. I don't care. Someone make it happen.
A PC based Tenchu/HItman type game (exactly like both, 3D, free roaming, but really authentic historical and where you are part of clans just like would in feudal Japan while killing key figures like you aim for in Hitman).

How about a previous game brought back to life? That would MMORPG based equivalent to the original style and theme of SWG with all the hype and fanfare. The complete awesomeness that came on the first release (due to being Star Wars,
Limited MMORPGs, and community involvement in development the anticipated community was huge for pre-nge and the first night while everyone was exploring their most awaited features was probably the funnest multiplayer I ever had (along with the original BF1942 which just was crazy funny due to the stunts, hacks, etc (something about driving a cruiser in multiplayer was great)). Also with regards to SWG, no game had such involved trade/skill that required everyone to rely on everyone else such that a crafter could actually make name for himself. The economy flourished due to this specialization in my opinion.

Matewis: A dark, gritty and violent commander keen game that looks kinda like this.

An Star Citizen type game (with no FPS) with a strong retro scifi theme. Hell, any retro scifi game will do. I just love the theme!

A Willy Beamish type game in the style of GTA. So something sort of like Bully, only more innocent.

A proper Cartoon Network card game where you can build Ed, Edd and Eddy decks, or Dexter's Lab decks etc.

And many more unlikely sequels, chief among which : Warcraft 4, Age of Empires 4 and Commandos 4.
Ah yes, I remember losing some much time on Age of Empires 1 and 2. I would love to see Age of Empires 4 but with a MSN Game Zone Experience of community

nightcraw1er.488: The title of the thread is: Non-existing games you want to be made real
Not: Games which would be nominated for worst game ever based on worst films of all time

dtgreene: I saw the new Ghostbusters and it definitely was not one of the worst films of all time. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit, and I don't remember it having pacing issues that some other films had (Rogue One lacks action in the entire middle section of the film, and Moonlight was just too slow paced (Hidden Figures had better pacing)),

One more idea:

A game based off Hidden Figures that manages to be both fun and educational. No, I don't have any idea how that would work. (A game based off Moonlight might work as a pure adventure game (or, perhaps, as a visual novel), though even that would be tricky.)

Of course, while we're at it, how about games based off Winged Migration and March of the Penguins?
I second the greatness of Ghost Busters the movie. Just saying, make it full VR and get some PTSD going.

Speaking of educational, I would love to see more educational games developed for the adult that are actually "entertaining". Don't get me wrong, I love Number Munchers more than the next guy, but I also would love to see something like Code Spells but for higher mathematics. One of my favorite books was Mathematics for the Millions. I would love to see a game based on the book's concept that took one from beginning of foundations in math up to calculus. Perhaps some good abstract algebra learning too.

Another idea is maybe some kind of chemical synthesises where gamification can lead to new materials. Kind like in crowd science projects like folding @ home or that game where you click and help sort for science.

SpooferJahk: I want an actual Twin Peaks game to exist in some form.
avatar
Breja: Alan Wake and Deadly Premonition are pretty damn close.
but the actual experience of the show, those are close but still.
Give me a new Shadow Man game (for PC or Switch) and I can die in peace

I'd like a cleaned up version of the first one. It's a good game but looked a little primitive even for the time it came out.

Deadly Premonition actually started out as pretty much a copy-paste homage to Twin Peaks -- or, as some would put it, downright plagiarism. It obviously doesn't give you the *exact* experience of the show, but it gets pretty darn close, and I would even argue you can feel the "spirit" and the ethos of Twin Peaks throughout the entire game. It's not just a bunch of references to the show, either, à la Alan Wake (which is a great game, but, aside from the many Twin Peaks references, it ultimately does its own thing, mixing other ingredients in, like the works of Stephen King). As far as I'm concerned, Deadly Premonition *is* the Twin Peaks game. I don't even know if "official" Twin Peaks would work as a game, so I'd rather just have Deadly Premonition.
A PC version of Red Dead Redemption
I want a good(!) Iron Maiden-themed game. Ed Hunter sucks in nearly every way possible.

Well, Carmageddon 2. :P That's as close as we're going to get right now.

How about an Ed Force One flying simulator?

Donald Trump simulator.

That way at least you can make Mexico pay for the wall by grabbing them in the pus*y.
Pokemon, but made by developers who aren't eternally lazy.

Much like Aquaman in the hands of a competent writer, I feel that Pokemon as a world and series has much potential that either Game Freak isn't willing to explore, or absolutely can't be arsed to explore.
An RPG that does the following:

1. Has a bunch of unusual mechanics, which sometimes reward the player for doing things that are usually not done in casual plays of RPGs.

2. Expects the player to actually use those mechanics.

The game would, for example, do things like:
* Have you fight enemies that could easily one hit kill your characters (and perhaps even your entire party), even if you are overleveled.
* Provide the tools to deal with such enemies, regardless of your level.
* Have mechanics that make being a high level not strictly better than being low level, and reinforce that mechanic by including enemies that drain levels from your characters.
* Regularly put you into situations where the best strategy is to get hit by certain attacks.
* Lots of puzzle bosses; to win, you need to find the right strategy; trying to fight the boss "normally" will lead to a brutal defeat.
* Have the focus of the game be on this sort of thing.

Also, another idea is to take the concept behind games like Syoban Action (the game punishes you for performing reasonable actions), but apply it to other genres; a pure adventure game like this could be interesting, especially if you can undo moves (and even undo death this way).
A first person Cyberpunk that with the scope of Witcher 3 and size of Anarchy online Combined.. It needs to have the following:

1: First person
2: Citcies the size of Novigrad
3: World space/size as big as Witcher 3 meets Anarchy Online
4: Leveling system akin to Skyrim
5: The world needs to be Cyberpunk, massive cities all over, or broken down techological graveyards
6: Some type of Magic

For the classes I would want

Hacker: able ot open doors and hack communications, take over robotic NPC's and hack into the mechanical parts of humans, and more along those lines... she would be a long range stealth type with some form of silent EMP weapon and whatever

Hunter: able to track specific EM Fields of enemy units, able to set traps using dead bodies machinery or junk found around him, able to use stealth (not as good as hacker) and long range (better then hacker)

Neuromancer: using technology so advanced it apears as magic, control of nano clouds that explode freeze shock and burn. combinations of spells and talents, embue weapons and others with buffs though nanotechnology, able to take over organic machines and other organic life though brain nanobot injection

Fallen Priest: warrior type that uses melee or ranged weapons, able to do self healing on a grand sclae if standing still. able to heal others minimally or self minimally while moving. focuses specialization in 1 melee and 1 ranged type. able to use all types with reduced damage.

Archon: a healer class, focused on organic healing, very little machine knowledge other than how to destroy them. works with EMP and special bombs that eat metal and save organic tissue. Can fuse organic tissues together to create golems from the living parts of his enemy's

Ripper: a mechanic class, focused on machine repair, no regard for organics and uses acids as a primary weapon source though sprays clouds and bombs. has the ability to upgrade and boost mechanical items and objects, and can overcharge herself if needed. can construct robotic pets to assist in her cleaning path.

outside of that im good.. always wanted a game like this... setting could be on different planets, massive cities, freighters, moons, you name it.... doesn't need to be a single contiguous space.. but travel between said places would be nice and randomized locations off would might be nice.

Think primary locations with world space akin to Wither 3 with a few hundred worlds randomly generated like NMS with deep complex basses, sort of like Anarchy Online had.

We dont have a decent CyberPunk game... nothing with the size of scope of what AO used to be... 2077 is my dream, and in kind so is ELEX.... time will tell <3
