On the plus side, at least this DRM scheme doesn't interfere with the right of first sale. That said, the fact that it requires online activation will make me regard any game that uses it as a rental and the price I'd thus be willing to pay with drop accordingly.

Also, to keep on topic. I think it's important to note that they're trying to do something to balance the DRM issue a little. Which is more than some other companies (e.g. Crytek) are willing to do.
