I don't care about the 3d gimmick and may buy this one because its cheaper. Only con is how ugly it looks.

I get the impression that, you know, it's for children under 7. Since the new pokemon game is coming out soon.
No 3d effect since it's not recommended for those under 7, built in one piece so young children wouldn't snap it in half at the hinges, and cheaper.

Good news! I might actually buy one now, as long as they actually ship it with a charger in Europe, unlike the xl.

Isn't a 3ds minus 3d just not basically a ds?

Never mind. I just realized the 2DS is a piece of shit. Yep but it's hard to find Nintendo DS's that are new because they stopped making them.

Might depend on the country but here atleast they still sell ds lite and dsi's in (internet) stores, at a reasonable price too.

There I thought this was a joke name, but 2DS? Really, Nintendo? *facepalm* I'm curious as to who the target audience is supposed to be. The clam-shell design is still way more appealing, plus, you know, it also protects the screens. =/
I've been tempted by the 3DS before, but every time I look at those game prices... Yeah... Maybe not. No, you got it all wrong. It's the Gamecube Mini Touch! ;)

Offcourse it's obvious you can't play them, it's just a cash-in move from Nintendo, just as all the xl xxl versions. Just make a good one and stick with it.
