Didn't they do this with Mass Effect already, ie. putting ME2 (alone) to some bundle? People who already had ME1 and ME3, but not ME2, were probably in the minority. :)

I guess that kind of baiting is ok, as the price is so low. Not that different from e.g. Sierra OnLine releasing Betrayal At Krondor for free, in order to promote the (inferior) sequel, Betrayal In Antara. Or, it seems whenever a new sequel comes to movie theaters, the free TV-channels here are showing the earlier one in the series. Like they just showed the first Percy Jackson (The Lightning Thief) on TV just as the sequel (Sea of Monsters) came to theaters here. Same with Twilight, Terminator etc. etc. movies.

The only time this kind of baiting irritates me if they sell something like "Mass Effect Trilogy" for a high price, giving an impression that it is a complete set... yet it is lacking relevant DLCs here and there.


LOL! Adding Populous as the bonus HB content is mightily good trolling from EA, considering what you get already in the base offer (Dead freaking Space 3, etc.). The EA staff must be laughing their asses off right now for the internet reactions.

I hope EA doesn't pull them from GOG at some point, as "you can buy them from Origin too". Maybe not, EA can't be _that_ evil, can they?

I really don't think so, because I see this whole bundle as them trying to get AWAY from the evil Stigma that has plagued them the past several years. You know what I mean?

Hmm I was hoping maybe for some more FLAC soundtracks. Perhaps for Deadspace 1 and 3. Oh well.

As far as I can tell, despite the fact that you can get Populous from the Humble Bundle and activate it on Origin you can't actually BUY Populous from the Origin store, not at the moment and not in my region at least!

This ended up being a great deal for us. We gave the Sims 3 pack to our daughter who's been begging for the game since it came out. Very late but it works out :P Can't wait to see the next bundle!

Well, its close to 2million bundles sold and $10million made, so I reckon if those boundaries are passed there might be something extra, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

The likely suspects are Bulletstorm, Dead Space 2 and Medal Of Honor: Airborne since their Steam database entries were updated the same time the other games from this bundle were.

As for Origin exclusives, who knows? Populous was certainly unexpected so it could be anything old or new.
