This one im tempted with for L4D and Crysis 2

I'll mull it over for a day or 2
$5 for all this? Why not.

lol at separate keys also.

Edit: All of EA's money goes to charity also?

In for two.

blotunga: I don't care about sims and battlefield.. So I'll throw in probably $1 for Crysis and Dead Spaces. I wonder if I get the extra packs too, which will be added next week.
You do. Every time I have ever bought a bundle for less than the average, as long as it is BEFORE the games are revealed, I have gotten them also.
Tempted just for a cheap DS3 and for Burnout PC
Mirror's Edge and DS1 would be bonus and BF3 I would probably ignore unless a friend got

Tranquil.Suit: In all seriousness, why did they add Steam keys? What could be the reason? I don't see how that makes sense for Origin/EA.
avatar
Foxhack: Because they want sales.

If this bundle was Origin only it wouldn't get even a quarter of what they could get for Steam keys.
But will any of those people even consider Origin? I mean, just for Dead Space 3?

Well okay, probably a chunk of people. I'm just far from being one of them.

Coool. Then it;s worth a buck!
That's a really good move from EA to popularize origin, have to say.

GOG WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR???
I will trade you all my Origin keys for... a -10% Toki Tori 2 coupon?

P.S. I'm joking.

Fucking DRM... I wanted Dead Space(the best of the series) , but I'm NOT installing that piece of shit on my computer. Sorry EA, but I'm gonna pirate the few good games you refuse to sell DRM free. Fuck you !

Someone in the thread wrote never look a gift horse in the mouth, and that fits perfectly here. People will buy this bundle for the steam keys and will get also some Origin games for free (from their point of view). You can be sure many of them will install Origin after they finished. Dead Space 1 to play also Dead Space 3. Also some steam-games seems to need Origin. This bundle is really a smart move from EA, also gifting all incomes to charity.
Anyone know if these games have any other DRM (besides Steam or Origin, of course)? I'm just wary because I'm vaguely aware that some EA games from that era (2007ish) having limited activations. Maybe that was retail copies though. I don't know.

Also, what's Origin like? Is it a Steam-like client thing? More of a downloader/manager thing? Does it need to be running alongside the games like Steam? Does it have offline mode?
Yeah, origin is kind of a deal-breaker for me also ... but hey it's still just a buck. And I don't care about Battlefield since I've heart it's some MMO and Sims is just boring (for me at least)

Or you could just buy Dead Space at retail since it doesn't require Origin to run.

But I get the feeling you're just trying to justify things to yourself.

It is basically EA's version of steam. I have used it for quite a few different games, and have never had a problem, not even one. You get keys or buy a game from the store, then you redeem it and launch it from within origin.

Retail here costs a ton of money , I can't afford it . Besides, I'm not even sure if there are still places that sell it .
