Probably. ;)

keeveek: [...] btw. did anyone successfully registered his The Sims 3 copy on thesims3.com? I added it to Origin, but when I try to use the product code on this site it says the key is invalid [...]
So are you saying that you're activating it over thesims3.com (right way) or Origin (wrong way)?

When I tried to register it on Origin, it redirected me to some page, I redeemed the key there, games got activated on Origin and apparently they auto registered on thesims3.com, because they are displayed on my profile page in thesims3.com
Now officially the best selling bundle in "units" sold. Pushing 900k atm.

Even the Humble Guys are didn't expect this. I wonder what will happen when the counter reaches 999 999.

While the server infrastructure of EA is (understandably) struggling, at least they managed to have enough keys ready.

Edit: But it did take them more than a day to outsell the THQ bundle. EPIC FAIL!

So when I try to register my key on thesims3.com it asks me to login but using my Origin email and password just redirects me to the homepage. Should I create a new user on that site too or is the login failing because of server load?

Neobr10: But...but...but...isn't EA evil?
Yes.

People seem to have forgotten all about their exclusive NHL deal, how they treated their employees, their anti-consumer practices such as selling online passes that expire, their love for DRM, them shoving multiplayer features into games to broaden their appeal, their shameless cash-ins like GoldenEye: Rogue Agent.

Not to mention their excellent customer service with all the unwarranted bans that they have handed out, locking people people out of their games, including ones purchased on Steam.
You got charged twice and dared to contact support explaining your issue patiently and politely? That's a banning.
Someone swore at you on the forums? That's a banning.
You dared to report offensive language on the forums? That's a banning.

Refunds? What's that?

They liked their day one DLC in Mass Effect 3 so much that Dead Space 3 had no less than eleven pieces of it.

Remember how Valve included a clause that was supposed to prevent them from being sued? EA did it too!

And, speaking of Origin, how about that entitlement clause that said your account is forfeit if you don't log in for 2 years? Or the fact that the client scans your PC.

Why do people hate EA? The question should be: why don't they?

It's something that you can turn off in Origin > Application Settings > Advanced > Origin Experience Reporting.
Just uncheck the boxes.

Just something that I remembered, but a quick Google gave me this:

This is a pro-ea thread. You are not allowed to dislike EA here. Please stop or that's a banning.

End of line.

Line ends here.
