That is the second reason why I was hesitant to come forth with the claim. My feeling when I read post 492 was "What information does Quad have that should he flip town, we will be acting at once?" The whole of post 492 looked to me too much of a "I know you are scum, but can't reveal why I know it, yet", even though in post 551 QuadrAlien removed his vote on Flubbucket. I do think post 551 is hinting at him having an investigative role as well though, but I'm probably just paranoid.

Could it be that I'm reading too much into the posts? Of course. That is why I was hesitant yesterday, and that is why I want a discussion of it today. If I was certain of my deductions, I would have voted Flubbucket already, but if Flub is town, we will (probably) lose.

Incidentally there are three members of the group who haven't expressed positivity towards the mass claim. How many mafiosi are we expecting?

I will say I have no issue with role claiming in this game and at this juncture.

1) Because I've bread crumbed like a fiend about my role.

2) My alignment will be mod confirmed on Day four.

As I've already stated several times, I dont think we should be mass claiming yet!!! There are other avenues to explore which give the Mafia much less information, such as bandwagon analysis. ONLY when these avenues are exhausted should we be looking at mass claiming. Its too early in the day...!

And being the only one who thinks so makes you look quite suspicious. You know, the two things are not mutually exclusive. Of course we should do a thorough analysis of the Twister train and of all the postings of day 2. But since we are in a tight spot, we should exhaust ALL options we have - and I think that a mass-claim will help because it will force mafiosi to state something which is possibly falsifiable and thus a lead. Yes, a mass claim gives away the good power roles, which is bad. But not as bad as loosing right away, which we will if we lynch wrong today. So the claim is for me the way where a better chance of saving the town lies.

ALL - it makes sense if you all make a list of Your Ideal Claim order.

That way we can make the most informed decisions on who to pick next.

Well, my view of it is, we don't have a claim, or much of a defense from Day 2, which means any proper analysis is going to cross into the WIFOM defenses more then a few times. While you could come up with an analysis, I don't think there's a lot this time to really work with that makes the analysis worth the effort it takes to put into it.

And as far as the claim, I bring you to this one majorly important point. If we mislynch today, the game's over, town loses. I don't see a point in keeping our roles a secret anymore, if it gives us a chance to actually puts some pieces together and see what fits. Hell, once we have more pieces to the puzzle maybe it becomes more prudent for us to look at the lynches a bit more closely. But the fact is, we're out of time to dance around the topic for much longer, as wasted time means that we lose the advantage of it being sudden.

No, I think the claiming should go in a unpredictable order to keep the mafia on their toes. It has been said before, if we agree on a fixed order, it becomes more easy to prepare for your claim. So I support the idea that each claimer nominates the next one. And since Twilight has nominated me, I'll go next.
