Heh, first stretch goal is down. Now for the $ 2 million thing. :D

Starmaker: What the fuck is wrong with people (on KS)? I don't get the idea of stretch goal hate. At all. People are paying for a game in advance. They're happy to pay for a game as it was announced. Why should they feel entitled to more stuff for the same price?
What are they asking for?
IMHO i thought the stretch goals are fine - all about the story :). The tiers seem pretty good as well.

chilinux: (1) The new game won't be released until December 2014. They should take advantage of the notice the game is getting now and release the original game on sale!
I really agree, I and many other kickstarter pledgers or people who are still wondering if they should pledge whoud instantly buy a PS:T on sale.

But IIRC TLJ and Dreamfall were not on sale in the past month, were they?
I see Torment is moving up the Top Sellers list on the frontpage, maybe it'll pass BG2 with some luck. :p
I just woke up and THIS WAS NOT A DREAM. Holy pancakes.
GOG should partner up and add a free copy of Planescape Torment here on GOG to higher pledge tiers

How high a pledge tier? My wallet is already in hiding, but I fear if I push a bit more, it will try to retalliate...
Not to mention that they are already considering it.

nijuu: At 10million+ people will be asking for lots of voice acting and start to ask for things which really.. will it add to the game?.
Who cares as long as it's a great game to play(story/graphics style/music/etc)? ;)

StingingVelvet: If this fucking thing, or any game on KS for that matter, reaches 10 million it will be a whole new ballgame. You will see shit like Psychonauts 2 attempted, or games with real 2005-era production values. Can anyone say Morrowind-esque?
-------------------------
It won't reach 10 million though, lol.
If I may ask, what's the highest amount of money a single Kickstarter project has raised?
-----------------------------
Care to wager on that point? 0.o

There was some "I'm not excited about the stretch goals" and "thresholds are too high" and "thresholds were planned to be much lower but now that they've seen the overwhelming success, they decided to squeeze for moar, greedy bastards". (Before I posted that gender reactivity was bad, and (yay Internet!) instead of the comment being ignored, or a bunch of people posting that it's not bad and leaving it at that, there are now several raging assholes who actively want sexism in the game because it's supposedly natural, realistic and mature, get out of your hugbox and face the real world, Nazi bitch - arguing with the sane majority. Fortunately, according to a Numenera writer's blog, the assholes are going to be disappointed.)

About 10.5M$, for one of those sci-fi computer watches. Number 2 is the Ouya, sitting at about 8M$, and then Project Eternity at just under 4M$.

1. The higher tiers, most likely, already have Planescape: Torment.
2. inXile doesn't own the Planescape IP, this is like half the reason they are using Cook's setting. If they offer PS:T as a gift, it will have to come from their own pocket, or the pledge money, which is beyond useless.

Point Man: Damn i guess Colin was joking when he said he'd get Pat Rothfuss in as one of the writers as a stretch goal. Haha that would have been interesting.
avatar
de_Monteynard: Is there any chance you can provide a link to that statement? Patrick Rothfuss is a phenomenal writer and even though he probably won't work on Torment, it is still great he gets some recognition from the wider community.
Well, i knew he probably wasn't serious haha. But anyways, Watch This. Watch the whole thing, it's awesome, or skip to 38 minutes in and start watching there for what i'm talking about.

cw8: How much did you guys back? I'm either $65 or $75. Definitely for the boxed copy.
Since I was sick today, I forgot all about this starting and missed one particular tier I was going for when I logged on a couple of hours ago, so I've backed for $275 + 18 S&H

I am now officially broke after this, Delver's Drop, and Dreamfall Chapters :'(

orcishgamer: I'm thinking of KSing this to a rather insane level, even for me, someone for the love of Odin talk me out of it.
Do itttttttttttt!
