Also, Harryhausen didn't exactly collaborate ONLY to masterpieces. But good stop-motion always wins my heart.

XYCat: what exactly is considered "bad"?
Movies Like Birdemic or sharktopus, in m opinion. it all depends on the poster.

Telika: I'd say Ghosts of Mars, Vampires, Fog, Escape from L.A... require a bit more forgiveness to be enjoyed...

HomerSimpson: I'd agree with that.

And I consider Prince of Darkness one of his good movies, as well. But the critics didn't, and I can understand why even if I don't agree with their estimation.
Critics also didn't respond well to "the thing".e And that is considered one of, if not the best, films he ever made.

Another amazing thread, so many sweeet VHS-rental memories <3

But I can't believe there are so few zombies here...

Still available from the maker's website, Zombie Plague, a trilogy of Argentinian bad-assery, right up there with the real (i.e. early) Peter Jackson films!

That is because there are no bad zombie movies.
True that.

True. But, in fairness, most critics have re-assessed the film in a more positive light. To my knowledge, Prince of Darkness has not received similar treatment (or at least on the same scale).

Homer?! You are a Prince of Darkness fan?! That is one of my all time favorite movies but I honestly thought I might be alone in my adoration of it. Far out man; I learn something new every day.
Prince of Darkness has a lot of David Icke-ness to it, which is an entertaining thing.
Actually that reminds me of a good bad one, Shivers. I think it was Cronenberg's 1st movie and I know it almost got him deported from Canada. :)
Oh, got another - "What's Up Tiger Lilly" :)
Oh Piranha 3D (and I did not watched it to see people cut to shreds if you know what I mean...)

I know exactly what you mean; brings back fond memories of my first VHS machine with freeze-frame lol

I bet your movie of choice was Heavy Metal ;)

Oh, yeah. I'm a fan of Carpenter in general. Escape From New York, The Thing, The Fog, Prince of Darkness, Halloween, Assault on Precinct 13....I'll watch them any time I come across them. Not every movie he made was good. But there's no denying he made some good movies.
