Starkrun: Anyone else fall in love with the music?

Tell me, did the person who made the Fallout 3 soundtrack have anything to do with this? Especially the menu music.
On another note, this game is awsome so far :D
Well from what i have seen from videos *cough cough*

Good god man, either you need to stop smoking or you're really sick. Go see a doctor for that cough.
Played the demo for a bit and, though it lacks something I can't put my finger on, it is very very polished for a demo. Most modern Demo's I play are buggy versions of the live code, and the full game tends to runn better (in my experiences).
The default assignment for drawing weapons is annoying, but easy to change. A minor annoyance I have w/ the combat system is that you absolutely have to put away your weapon to 1) pick up any items on the ground or loot chests/bodies/etc, and 2) you can only see the tooltips for items on the ground if your weapon is put away :/
Other than that the game is frikkin beautiful and runs smooth as butter without me touching any graphics options (a rarity). Some of the lighting effects are annoying (thats probably my video card though) but everything is just nice and smooth. Voiceovers are pretty good, though a little 'disjointed' in places from what I noticed - also doesn't help that characters use the same bloody animation for just about every conversation.

prakaa: Is this the one banned down heer?

Navagon: Yeah. For drug references. To fictional drugs.
It must be nice being treated like an adult.

Cursing and whores, too.
And the drug is referred to as 'reefer weed', as extracted from 'brugleweed.'

Oh noes!
But, seriously though, would any of that justify an 18 rating, even if they had one?

Probably not to reasonable folks like ourselves.
But if they don't feel like they're controlling the population, preventing them from renting whores, smoking pot, and cursing, then it's anarchy. :P
The bright side is stupidity like this only makes these actions more appealing to people.
Gothic 2 is rated 12+/Mature for blood, sexual themes, use of drugs, and violence.
That's Europe for you I suppose. :)

It seems like the UK has settled on a 16 rating for Risen. Which is reasonable enough. Although I think that most of the profanity will be on the part of the user struggling with the bastard, bloody controls of the damn thing.

You are spreading all kinds of misinformation. :P
The game is absurdly easy to control (unlike Gothic).

Risen controls very well.. Gothic 1/2 are a nightmare until your used to it, took me about an hour to get a true feel. Haven't played a keyboard only game since Doom, and then Gothic came around and bashed me in the head... hard...
And watch what those ratings do when Witcher 2 rolls out of bed :)
I played the demo for about an hour. Didn't find the controls were an issue, personally. Game looks great, runs smooth on my rig, and I have very few complaints about it from what I've seen so far. Definitely going to pick this one up.

It's funny how the NPC's and your charicter refer to it as "weed". As far as going to "Can i buy some weed?"
Makes me laugh.

It's refreshing. :)
S'funny, I just got Grand Theft Auto : Chinatown Wars for the DS, and they actually make you buy and sell Heroin, Cocaine, Ecstacy, Weed, LSD and downers?!?! And the profanity in this game is huge.
I find it incredible that I could buy and play this game when "brugleweed" is enough to make a game banned from Australia.
Seriously, WTF.
The OFLC is desperately in need of standardisation
Then again this may well backfire and most games would be declined
I'm pretty sure the news articles I read listed women being treated as commodities as the main reason it was denied classification. You can buy them, get their services as a reward, etc. etc..
That said, I have been to the brohel in the first main town and there is nothing there worse than The Witcher and Fallout 3, that I saw.
