Is it just me or does this look damn good ?
It runs incredibly smooth too, with all bells and whistles maxed out @1920x1200.
It' been a while since i jumped on a game on release at this price, but i guess i'll grab this one on the weekend.

Hell, I didn't even know Risen was coming out tomorrow. I wasn't expecting it for another month or so, then bam...demo's here and the game is on its way.
I'm like Namur above. I remember the nightmare that was Gothic 3 on release, and was girding myself for the same experience again with Risen. Surprisingly, the game runs beautifully 1920x1080, all details maxed on my somewhat long-in-the-tooth machine. I haven't had it hitch or bug out a single time in the 2 1/2 hours I've played it. For a PB game, that's nigh on a miracle. Doubly so since, based on the way everything looks, I'm fairly sure the game is using a tweaked up swanked out Gothic 3 engine with a bit of TLC applied.
So....looks like I'll be ditching everyone this weekend. :D

Anyway i think i will be saving any money i come across for Tropico 3 personally.

I have pre ordered it off steam as well kind of got mixed reviews here pc zone gave it 85% but pc gaming only gave it 6 out of 10. Still think it will be enjoyable game.
My only wish is that you could have a male or female pc not just male.

CD check DRM only ala G3 (what deepsilver told forum goers) pc version is easier to mod, you'll get patches sooner eventually PB drops NOCD's in patches or allows community to add them in and supports them... also amazon is selling cheap...
oh and it looks beautiful, feels solid... like a good tight suspension on a dirt track, hugs the corners and floats in the straightaways...
