Apparently on the Twitter account, the GOG.com team said that there's ANOTHER new publisher coming on board when they announced Blake Stone was coming to GOG: Next Tuesday will bring Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold and a new publisher!
I wonder who it might be. LucasArts, maybe? ;)

Whoever published Thief - it has to be :>
I can hope for Blizzard, but I really don't think its ever going to happen :(
I'm going to hope for Microids.
LucasArts! LucasArts! C'mon LucasArts!
Wow, deja vu...

Blizzard has their own download service for Starcraft and Warcraft 3 I think...
Well Blizzard isn´t unrealistic since many of their older games (Diablo 2 etc.) dosen´t have CD check anymore.
Yes, Blizzard has their own distribution, but so do EA but their games is still on Steam.
Blizzard is not an independent company. They're part of Activision Blizzard, the world's largest publisher.
Edit: Might as well speculate: I think that if the new publisher was something very big, like LucasArts, EA or ActiBlizz, there would be more talk about it. So it's probably not. I would guess something like CDV, Paradox or 1C...

Of course, the EA download manager is such a shitty piece of software that noone wants to use it more than once.
They are really gettin' games pumping out of here on a constant basis now. Sweet!
Well, they (Blizzard) are currently asking for input for a new patch for Diablo 2. One can only hope that it's connected somehow.
Hey Tom is this next big publisher that you were talking about on Neogaf? the one that you said was almost signed or is this just a regular publisher?

Amen. The thing popped up like every five minutes trying to get me to patch something I didn't want patched. I finally gave in and it froze my computer.
I expect we'll see several more smaller publishers who will bring a handful of games each with them before we see any major ones. Apogee was quite a coup though, perhaps the bigger beasts in the jungle will be paying attention now.
It will probably never be Intelligent Systems.
