JudasIscariot: Also, I have owned a variety of consoles in my time. From the lowly NES all the way to the PS2 and I have yet to find a superior game from the console side. I always went back to my PC.
you failed!
go Play Tetris Attack, Pokemon Puzzle League, or Nintendo Puzzle Collection.
then come back to us.

No no one hijacked my account. Besides, puzzle games can be found on the PC as well so that sort of nullifies your point.

JudasIscariot: It is because of consoles that we now have the despicable three letter word known as "DLC"
It is because of the consoles we PC gamers have extremely buggy ports of what are supposed to be AAA titles (see Fallout 3 and, more importantly, GTA4)
It is because of consoles that developers don't care to finish their games properly and sell you the endings to those games as, you guessed it, DLC. (see the newest Prince of Persia and, yet again, Fallout 3)
Also, I have owned a variety of consoles in my time. From the lowly NES all the way to the PS2 and I have yet to find a superior game from the console side. I always went back to my PC.
Thanks to consoles, we no longer have a plethora of games with an intelligent story, characters that we can identify with and either love or hate them as the story requires. Instead we get a bloom-filled, badly optimized spectacle filled with badly written stereotypes saddled with even more atrocious dialogue.
Consoles should get games ported TO them not FROM them that way they can suffer with bad optimization, bugs, and ill-conceived control schemes.

I'm with you on the DLC comment. I hate it, too, but you need to calm down. Games are expensive to make these days, and hardly anyone is buying PC games anymore compared to before due to piracy being so easy. People are buying console games, though, so they're going to put their effort into that because they're a business and whether you like it or not, they have to make money. Just look at the recent release of Demigod. When it released last week, there were 140,000 users who were playing it online, but only 18,000 of those users were playing validated, purchased copies. If that isn't something that would scare adeveloper away from a platform, I don't know what would.
It's sad, but it's just risky for developers to focus on the PC as the main platform and then just port outward to consoles anymore because the consoles are where they are going to get most of their sales. I know you probably buy your PC games, as do most of the people here since we're on a DD store's website, but the fact is that most people don't and that's what's been hurting PC gaming more than anything.

So? they go back and forth, but you won't find any tetris attack games on there, and you won't find marvel vs capcom 2 on there either.

Someone mentioned both new Fallout AND PC vs Console, this is a clear cause & effect incident

No need for that. The man's already made up his mind. You could come up with a billion games that received critical acclaim or that you simply thought were excellent console games and it won't matter. Everyone's got their sacred cows - subjects that they just won't bend on no matter how many arguments people raise to the contrary.
But as long as people don't begrudge me my choice to play the games I think are good whether they be on console or PC, I don't see why there should be any cause for argument, period.

It's just, he's more defensive than a 3 year old kid right now, I've not seen him like that. getting that pumped up about an internet argument?

I hope I didn't begrudge your choice of gaming as I do try my best to stay away from personal attacks as much as possible.
@weclock - Please do enlighten me on where exactly I was being defensive and being an "idiot".

Right here, right after your big post, sounds overly defensive to me. You just dismiss it without bringing up any real points of interest, your style is a lot better than this usually.

Actually my choice of words was wrong, I will admit it. But I did put the ball in your court to find something other than puzzle games which are also quite abundant on PC. That was the intent at least.

I did think Weclock was joking bringing up puzzle games... but was he?

Hey Wishbone,
Please give me as objective critique of my phrasing so that Imay improve:-)
Please note I hate holding back my sentiments on things because I feel it is far healthier to express oneself in terms one feels most comfortable with instead of dancing around the issue. Agian, that's just me though, YMMV.
