CSPVG: Top four scummiest list:

1.TwisterBE-Twister's first day posts were really very odd. He started off the game( post 6) by saying that TwilightBard Looked scummy, but voted nolynch in anyway. He explained this later, in post 86, by asserting that he did not want to lynch and innocent player.

Having said this, he votes for Lifthrasil( post 133)*. He gave no real reason, other than stating that Lifthrasil was his top suspect. He did, however, later state why he found Lifthrasil suspicious( post 159). At the time he was also reluctant to reveal his second suspect. Said suspect turned out to be P1na( post 179).

In post 323, TwisterBE votes for N0x0ss. He admits that he voted for N0x0ss to save himself, and that he believes N0x0ss to be innocent. This is a full 91 posts before the actual lynch vote. Surely, with QuadrAlien and myself also being close to lynch, Twister could have gotten onto a wagon for a player he found more suspect, or in the very least better explain his vote. Twister then explained the reason for his vote in post 449, stating that he wanted to avoid a nolynch.

The last point may seem fair enough, but Twister's vote fore N0x0ss( although he did not believe him to be scum) and low post count( none of Twister's posts aren't really content heavy, either), make me suspicious of Twister.
My opening post mentioning Twilght was just role playing, I'm new to the game and was not quite sure how to start. As the other votes I explained my reason in the posts.

As for my lack of content, I agree with you. But that's because i'm bad at reading people. I simply haven't found any clues apart from lifhrasil. It is also the reason I kinda avoided twilights request.

I know none of this useful, once again. I am however doing a re-read now and maybe something pops up now.
I will weigh in on the LAL topic. I will refer to the last game played on this forum. A player lied about his role as a doctor and created much drama. He was, it turns out, a good guy and was lying in order to hide his true identity. His decision was his own to make, but for the rest of us to en masse decide to "Lynch All Liars" is a mob mentality and not reasonable.

Should a mafia lie and be proven, discovered, found out, then the choice is obvious. It's not situational ethics as much as making rational decisions regarding each situation.

N0x0ss was intentionally provoking and made many statements which could be, and were, taken the wrong way.

Was he mafia??

CSPVG: I promise to get back to the present situation soon, but after the notes I made yesterday, I can't help but address one remaining issue( I can't seem to find a better word at the moment). This being: Did we actually agree to follow Joe's Lynch All Liars idea? It didn't seem like it to me. Does anyone think it would be helpful to hold a quick yay or nay vote, to establish whether we all agree to follow the LAL rule?
To add to what Flubbucket is saying, the LAL rule is there to prevent townies from lying (doubt it deters scum after all). The posts we make are the only thing we have to hunt scum with (plus any investigative roles of course), and we have to work under the assumption that anything written by a townie is true. If two people claim to be a doctor, then it's highly likely that at least one of them is lying. Why would he lie? To protect the real doctor from a Night Kill or to protect himself from a lynch?

We try to work a theory of what is happening with the assumption that most of the posts are truthful, and a few are false. While there are reasons to lie for town (No, I didn't have any night action), it is usually preferred to avoid answering (Are you asking me if I have a night action? Rolefishing much?).

So no, I don't think we should automatically LAL, but unless the person explains fully why he had to lie, and his explanations deemed adequate, he should be lynched. Depending on the case, he may have to be lynched either way.

Damn it, ranting again.

If a mafioso is caught lying all they have to do is claim that they were lying for the benefit of the town. I agree each situation should be analysed individually, but I think in most situations lynching someone caught lying is best (unless there is some proof that they are town such as reliable cop results).
Okay this is just a bit silly. Mafia lie by claiming to be town. They don't lie to benefit the town.

No, but the point is that you don't know they're mafia. All you know is that someone has been caught lying.
To begin: yay on Lynch all Liars - don't lie guys, for any reason, and it will be easier to catch out the ones who must lie.

To continue: Sorry for weekending away from the game. bad man Joe.

I can't really remember what was said now but I just want to point out that I didn't say that I AGREED with what flubb said about Quadr, but that it was enough reason for me to vote - meaning that I didn't particularly need a reason to vote because I already had one -
Pazzer was bad, contradicty and weirdvotey. Quad redeeming a little recently but started off passive and not adding much.

After Quad my top three scums are...

to be continued

(sorry! If I don't get back today I understand if you want to lynch me out of frustration)

And exactly that lead to the death of N0x0ss. Even without a fixed LAL rule in place. So it doesn't acually matter that much if LAL is agreed upon or not - if you make yourself suspicious enough, you will be lynched anyhow. It shows that contradicting yourself intentionally doesn't benefit town. You only draw attention to yourself and thereby you benefit the mafia more than the town. So, no matter whether LAL is active or not, the lesson for all townies to be learned here seems to be: "Don't lie."

(Unless of course you have a power role and are asked directly about it. Then one probably should lie. And lynch the one who asked about your role directly.)

Back to suspicions: it is really difficult to make a list. But I'll try.
First place is still Twister for me. My reasons didn't change since I voted for him.
Second place would be pazzer/Quadralien, because Quad didn't really do anything to allay the suspicions raised by pazzer's behavior. He didn't make the suspicion worse either, so he isn't my number one.
Three would still be CSPVG for 'accidentally' protecting/forgetting Quad. Twice. Quad called him out on that, but that may have been a LAMIST action by Quad (one by one I'm learning these acronyms).
Place four gets more difficult. SPF pushed very hard on N0x0ss and while N0x0ss was indeed suspicious, I still have the feeling that SPF was too focused on him. But 'being too focused on one target' can probably also happen to a town defender. Flubby also still has suspicion on him, carried over from day one for role claiming. So it will be one of these two. Both not very strong reasons, I know, but that's why they make the bottom of the list.

Apart from the list I still think that one of the 'great old ones' should be on mafia side (both statistically and dramatically ) but that's purely meta and none of them has done anything drastic enough to actually appear as mafia.

Another way to look at it would also be post count. Since it is good strategy for the mafia to keep a low profile by not saying too much, I am quite sure that at least one mafia hides among the lowest-posting-count people. Perhaps even more. This reasoning, purely by post count, would make Twister, Pazzer/Quad, Robbeasy and Twilight suspicious.

The fact that the first two places of my 'behaviour' list overlap with the first two places of the 'inverse posting rate' list, makes me somewhat confident that this time I might be on to the right suspects. Of course I might be wrong (as I was before) but I really think that suspecting Twister and Quad is justified.

If asked directly you still don't have to answer anything. In my opinion that is better than lying.

I am pretty great too... =/
back now!

previously on JoeSpeaks:

"my top three after Quadr are..."

now the thrilling conclusion!!

Lifthrasil
Flubbucket
Twister

Lifthrasil votehops and is giving excuses to lie directly about your role (don't do this!). I go through waves of thinking-lifthrasil-talks-sense and thinking-lifthrasil-is-playin-us-for-chumps.
Fubbucket claimed all the way at the beginning?? I decided that flubbucket wasn't a bad guy earlier in the game but I can't remember why that was now so I'm changing my mind back.
Twister - I would like Twister to be town but I think that he could be mafia.

Law what a sorry lookin list, that is just sad. The only one I'm happy with is Quad. I should do some reading through the game.

Okay guys if I don't post that full readthrough in the next three days you would be best to lynch me.

I JUST looked at the register to make sure I hadn't missed anyone (I'd forgotten about Twiglet) and I noticed that there were three asterisks and I thought to myself with glee that maybe Vitek had accidentally ticked off the three mafia members and then I noticed that I was starred so I realise that it's probably the people who've been prodded. Do not be shamed as I am!!

SirPrimalform: Where is this term from?
From H.P. Lovecraft of course. But I (mis)used it to refer to the most experienced players here. So 'old' in 'number of mafia games played' terms. Not actual age. (no offense intendet) And with 'statistically and dramatically' I meant: if the roles were distributed completely random, it would be very unlikely that there is no mafia at all among the more experienced players. And if vitek distributed the roles himself, he probably wouldn't make all the experienced ones town. The chances are more even if both teams contain both 'old ones' and noobs.

But something else just occured to me: why didn't we get a reveal of N0x0ss' race? Was he alien or human? Or did I miss something?

Ahh, I was thinking it had some meaning in the context of the game and was searching all of the flavour posts for mentions. XD

Along these lines I would like to pursue a thought (or two) which occurred to me as I drifted off to sleep today. We did get a gender reveal on P1na's NK flip. He was specifically called a male.

So I'm curious how our gender might factor into this as well as whether or not we still want to pursue the human/alien conversation anymore.

If he(P1na) was a male does this mean he was a human??

I may have more to say on this after the shower wakes up my brain and I drive to work....it's FRIDAY for me Huzzah!!!
