It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Damuna: EDIT: Also this thread doesn't show that it has unread posts for me, and hasn't since it was created - it just behaves as though I have read every single post in it at all times, and I don't know why.
The forum does that if the OP gets a sufficiently low rating. I suppose it assumes that noone would be interested in the thread in that case.
Space Rangers' forum doesn't have a mini-picture next to it. Just the generic GOG.com.
Prunned/Updated, thanks guys.

In adittion to bugs, reports of stuff from the list that gets fixed in the meantime is also much appreciated.

- I'm under the impression that the bug that signaled new posts that turned out to be the user's own post it's back, except now it's hiting the boards index on the community page. If anyone else picks up on this one let me know.

- As Navagon already pointed out, we really need a grace period on merging posts and the ability to make a new separate post on a thread after that period, otherwise in some conditions it's impossible to bump a thread with new information.

- **There's a chance that the FarCry setup files are corrupted. At least two users are reporting this one.**

Damuna: I'm seeing a problem here...the wishlist is showing me exact duplicates of entries.

For purposes of bugs let's call that one the wanted list so not to get confused with user's wishlists.

To the best of my knowledge the wanted list was never cleaned up so there's all sorts of prolems in there, dups, fakes, funnies, no tallying of same entries under different names, etc, etc.

GOG is no doubt aware of all the issues with the wanted list, as it was one of the recurrent 'themes' during Beta.

As for threads with low rated op's not signaling unread posts, Wishbone already covered that one.
When I click "Account login" from the Community page, I can't type anything into the login window. I'm using Firefox 3.6.12.

Kinky. When you start typing, the text field shifts to an almost invisible search field at the bottom of the window. It's doing the same with IE8.

Thanks ;)
Still more bug fixing to be done. Like the entire technical support system. Clicking 'contact us' on the support page followed by 'technical issues with games' goes straight back to the main support page.

Lame firefox theme.

You think someone could have gained acess to your account ? That's a tad worrying.

That's an option to browse the support articles so it looks to me it's linking where it should.

That's... not good. It seems to me that they're eradicating means of getting technical support and changing the text would suggest it's a permanent change.

It didn't used to be like that. I've used it to submit technical support queries in the past. But you're right. It's not a problem with the site. It's a problem with GOG.

...It starts. :(

I think it was Gundato who observed how seemingly everyone had turned against Impulse despite praising them in the past; and how the same fate could befall GOG.

To me at the time it didn't seem like GOG was in any danger of taking a nosedive. After all the reason people turned against Impulse was because of how they sold out and their shift in attitude towards their customers.

Now... well yeah. Let's just hope this is a rough patch caused by the problems with the new site, it's increased popularity and not a change in policy.

The way it's set up makes perfect sense to me.

Those folks who would go straight to 'contact us' to send a support ticket are linked to the page where they get the chance to browse the support articles and maybe find an answer on their own instead of sending yet another ticket with a question that has been answered a million times before and with a solution as simple as right clicking a shortcut and ticking a checbox. And those who really can't find an answer to their game specific problem can submit a support ticket from the support page for the game in question.

You have to go past the support page to get to that point anyway. So I'm not sure what the value is in looping back to that page. Maybe if they stressed the options available rather than simply removing that option it would be a better approach. Some sites do a better job of pointing you at the FAQs before letting you submit a support ticket.

But pointing you at the FAQs by removing the technical support option isn't a smart move. Especially considering how GOG's support seems to be disappearing.

If through 'contact us' people were presented with a contact form for game specific issues directly, like they are for all other kinds of issues or reasons to fill out and submit a form, you'd have people submiting support tickets for game specific issues who posssibly would never even looked at the support articles for the game in question. This way they at least have to look at them before they can submit one. We all know the issues with support and if this helps to cut down slightly on the number of tickets that's fine with me.

As for better ways to do things, i'm sure lots of us have a bunch of valid suggestions, same way i'm sure gog has valid reasons not to implement at least some of them.
Minor, unimportant, almost non-noticeable thing: the "low rated" label doesn't play nice with the "report as spam link". Only confirmed on Safari/Windows as the offending posts were removed before I could check in other browsers.
