BASARAisAwesome: That is just really disappointing because STEAM has issues with the client and the storefront because

1. The client is really buggy when I put in my shortcuts through STEAM itself and deletes it on purpose.
2. STEAM and the games at the storefront is being deleted so european customers won't be able to buy it and the newly released game doesn't even come out on the exact date on europe.

taczillabr: Steam deleting icons? Maybe it's a specific problem between your system and the steam client.

Yeah I know the pain of having games restricted to purchase, that's because the publishers want you to pay more for their games, for a copy at retail. So they have different prices for different regions.

If you're in the UK, they'll usually release there. I guess the bigger problem is if you're in continental EU.
!. How do I fix the icon deleting problem?

2. I think STEAM should just stop doing that because they'll lose customers like that and I wouldn't even bother buying from STEAM if they keep on doing that.

Sorry man, I don't deal much with icons so I don't know.

It's not Steam that does that, it's the publishers who decide where they'll choose to sell or not. Some regions they will offer both digital and physical copy, others only one of those options, and others none option to purchase.

E-mail the publisher about if you're really worried, it's Sega.
Set your assault rifles on jam/disappoint. Seriously, the more I see of this game the shittier it looks. I remember when the game was first announced a few years back, and it sounded/looked pretty exciting at the time. I was hoping that maybe on an off-chance they'd be able to finally make a good Alien(s) game - the first two AvP games were fun enough, but I've always wanted to see a good title within the Alien franchise alone. That doesn't seem to be the case. In fact, it somehow looks worse and sounds way more dumbed down in comparison to what Gearbox first showed off/talked about. It doesn't even look like they bothered to give it a proper round of polish for all its recent delays. They just keep showing the same awful clips with horrible audio... not to mention how pathetic that acid/blood looks like. Let's not even talk about all their excruciatingly painful and very dumb PR talk in the preview videos. Ugh.

I'd love to be proven wrong that this won't be a giant turd, but at this rate it ain't looking good by a long shot. Borderlands 2, on the other hand, looks fantastic. You can definitely tell where their priorities are.

That's actually one of the main reasons I stopped buying from Steam. That and the DRM.

That being said, it's quite possible that Colonial Marines will get an age rating here in Germany - after all, it's not like AvP where you're killing people as well, but rather you're shooting at aliens for the most part, and the USK is a little more lenient about gore if the player isn't the one causing it. If you see an NPC predator ripping someone's head off complete with spine, it's more likely to pass than if the player is playing the predator and viewing the head-rip in first-person.

As a rule of thumb, if it passes without cuts in Germany, you shouldn't have to worry about regional lockouts on Steam.

That is exactly what prompted my "well, this looks like shit" comment above. *le sigh*
Judging from this, it will take a miracle for this to not turn out to be your average generic turd shooter.
Haha, yes.

Oh joy, another game that could have been great but instead is dumbed-down for console and aimed at CoD-kiddies. These days sales figures are far more important than making a good game, so of course they're going to aim at the lowest common denominator.

Following the pattern, the PC version will probably be a lazy console port too. My only hope at this stage is since it's an Aliens game, there will be enough of a fanbase to attract modders who will turn it into something worth playing.
Dat painfully low FOV...

The player character must be a bit uncomfortable with all that water hitting his eyeballs in the rain.

Seems that they've managed to make the pulse rifle sound worse than it did in the earlier trailers, and now it seems to hold only 35 rounds :S

Quicktime event with the player hitting, then blasting a xenomorph with a shotgun at point blank range.. yeah...
Wait a minute, they got the original sfx for the motion trackers directly from 20th Century Fox, but not for the pulse rifles?! Are you shitting me?

The pulse rifle firing sound is as iconic, possibly even more so, and we're getting a generic machine gun sound? What the hell?!
That was multiplayer....Dear god.... :(
Game looks pretty as hell though.

Couldn't have said it better, I was interested in this game until I saw gameplay footage a few months ago. And it all came after the cancelled Obsidian game, fuck you right holders, publishers and/or whathaveyous!
Wow, what a terrible trailer. That awful sound of rifle, those weirdly moving aliens, those achievements, those poses and stupid cuts. Wow, I usually see good trailers even for bad movies/games and they delivered this monstrosity?

Part of me makes me close my eyes and hope that they won't include this bullshit for the PC version. MW2 didn't have it, but MW3 did.

But hey, at the current rate I am estimating about a 0.0001% chance of me actually playing this game.
