I am Trying To Set up a Hauler for Remote Trading.

Buy "X" Power Cells - Best Price, and Sell "X" Power Cells Best Price in Two Dif Sectors.

I Do not see Commands for Best Buy, Or Best Sell. I See Only Buy Here, Sell Here...
That would, IMO Be a Losing proposition in the long run...

I would like that ship To Repeat...

You're looking for the Trade Command Software MK3. The Teladi commonly have it, but you can also get it at the Terracorp HQ in Home Of Light.

I have that on at Least one or two of the ships I am Flying. Some are Fighters, so I guess it would be good to transfer that to The Freighter.

Also, I Bought one of the ships that is Called The Buzzard Hauler...
The Most Cargo it can HAUL is abot 150 units...
Why would they Name A Fighter a Hauler???

Because it has a bit more cargo space for a Buzzard.

Haulers are ship variants - common for all fighters, freighters and sometimes even capital class ships which have more cargo space than the base model, usually but not necessarily at the expense of other stats.

Thanks for the Help thus far...

I Have another issue.
I am seeing Light, Medium, and Heavy Shield Manufacturing.

As I see it, They Make: 1MJ, 5MJ, 25MJ, 200MJ, 1,000MJ, and 2,000MJ, Respectively...

So Far, So Good, But I Just Picked Up a Freighter: Caiman Tanker-XL
It is Calling for a 1,000KJ Shield. That I Have no clue where or how to get.

1,000KJ is Equal to a 100MJ, or so I would think.

Where would I find a 1,000KJ Shield??

Not sure where you got those numbers, but freighters will typically equip a number of 25MJ shields. In the case of a Caiman Tanker XL, I believe this to be 4. 4 x 25MJ = 100MJ :).

The 1,000KJ is Written on the ID Card for the Ship when you Click it and Select INFO.

They could have just said 4 25MJ Shields, Then players would not have to be Mathmeticians to use the Equipment...

I Figured that out when I got back in the game.

If anybody From Game Software Management is Reading this: It is My Opinion that The "Docking Computer" needs Some Tweaking...
In the Last two days, I have Docked at stations where I was Dock at a Post where Another Freighter Was Already Docked...
My Understanding is the Reason For Buying A Docking Computer is So That Typw of Thing Won't happen...

It is also my Opinion That The REP System Needs Serious Work...
A Player Works HARD To Raise "SAID" race REP. Gets it up to around 90 or so...
Goes off to another Section of Space for a Few Days, And That REP Drops to around 17 or so, Just Because The Player is NOT THERE!!!

If The Player Has not done Anything To ANGER SAID Race, Then IMHO, That Rep Should Pretty Much STAY WHERE IT WAS When Player Left That Area..........

This Second Part Is A REAL Pain In The BUTT To me.

Ehm, no. The Docking Computer helps you auto-dock - if you're below 5KM away from a station, press CTRL + D to be instantly docked at the closest docking port.

For a slightly less buggy experience, and less "docking where other ships are docked" kind of things, I highly recommend X3:AP, especially if you're not interested in the single player storyline. And even if you are, there's a TC campaign mod for X3:AP, which brings X3:TC's campaign to the more optimized engine in X3:AP, which you get along with improved gameplay (boarding mechanics, turret AI optimizations etc.).

Rep is sometimes heavily influenced by the type of game you've started and your progress in the main storyline. If you just want a sandbox game and don't care much about the story, you can go for a custom game (which is how I've always played X3:TC & X3:AP, though it also has some downsides and there's some stuff you can't ever get in the game this way). Rep is much more constant in a custom game and only changes due to your direct actions.

The things I read about the Docking Computer said; to the Idea of: Adjusts Speed, (and several other Criteria of Docking) so you don't Crash into Docking Posts and sauch as I understood it.

As To rep, I am doing Sandbox, and I see the Numbers Dropping.
My Previous Post: 19%, 89%, 24%, 79%, and 36%
Are Now Replaced: 46%, 37%, 33%, 5%, and 90%

89 Dropped to 37, and 79 Dropped To 5

As far as I know, I have done nothing to anybody that would Flip things that way...
The Rep percentages you are seeing represent your progress to the next rep level (rank), not an actual overall rep value. I think I mentioned this before :P.

You might want to have another look on how rep works.
Really just install one of the mods that better tell what your rep level really is! Such a small thing improved the game for me quite a lot.

Example of slight rep improvement:

You check and it says 98% and ten minutes later it says 3%.

What happened:
You or your ship traded a bit with the example empire and the rep improved from level 5 to level 6 (and the unmodded game does not tell you in numbers but in titles what level you are on) slightly from almost level 6 to actually level 6 and a tiny bit towards level 7. Unnecessary confusing imho.

So the important bit of information is the title (ie Friend of Priest King) NOT the %.

Well, I started a game as Terran Defender...
I did the School tingy with the trainer, and when he told me to shoot a Missile at the Debris container, I hit 1, 2, 3, and 4, and Had NO Missiles Mounted to use... I Had two in my cargo bay, supposed to stop and Mount those before doing the school thing??

Then The Pay for these Sucks... Patroll Secveral Systems, and get a bit over 2K for that...

Then get sent Heritic's End, and start following the Pirate Ship, One after another, after another, after another.... and on and on, with no pay yet, supposed to Scan Them, but never seem to see that as an Option on my left target ICON, to get to a Base where I always seem to get KILLED!! And The Point Is????
avatar
RDouglass1: *snip*
To scan the pirate base you just have to get really close, less than 100 meter. You then get a message that the scan started. Then you only have to wait until you get message that the scan has been finished and you can fly back.
