After reading some of the comments made by Hissrich I'm not having high hopes.

She took a vague comment from Sapkowski about diversity of people on the Continent of his fictional settings, and immediately used it as an excuse of how you could find minorities in some Northern Kingdom village.

She literally took a setting rife with prejudice and the small-mindedness typical of rural inhabitants of Medieval-era northern Europe (something that still surfaces in such areas too damn often) and is apparently envisioning the Northern Kingdoms as some kind of bastion of (racial) tolerance. I doubt she is familiar with the setting of the books beyond some bullet-point highlights.

In one of the short stories, Geralt comments on how he knows whether or not there's a job to be had somewhere simply because people do not start to curse and throw things at him. And his white hair and strange eyes are less noticeable of an oddity than a different skin color would be.

The world of Witcher is anything but tolerant. You see that intolerance everywhere. Aside from the blatant discrimination against non-humans (strong enough to make young dwarves and gnomes to join the Squirrels without the lofty justification elves have), there is plenty of discrimination based just on social standing. Or simply being "different" enough (the mentally-handicapped girl getting a taste of mob justice in the novels comes to mind).

For fuck's sake, Geralt's introduction to Vizima was going to a low-dive tavern where he damn well knew he'd end up in a fight being a stranger. Even the burgermeister/mayor of Vizima outright comments on that.

The forced inclusiveness that is the law of Nilfgaard is one of the main points of appeal of their rule to non-humans. Witcher 3 made a very appropriate use of it during interaction with the dwarven smith in White Orchard. But apparently now we'll have a world without racial prejudice at the same time there are frequent pogroms against non-humans. Or something. Totally makes sense /s

I have no idea why the showrunner, or anybody else for that matter, think they can get an elaborately crafted story and change various elements with no consequence to internal cohesiveness at all, but I'm not exactly holding high hopes for the end result.
