Hrm, I think I shall go with,

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater - CQC.
Shin Megami Tensei 4 - Battle B2.
Deus Ex - Theme Song.
Hotline Miami 2 - Ms. Minnie

If I was forced to pick one, it might have to go to Deus Ex.
Because, well, it's Deus Ex. The greatest song should come from the greatest game of course.
Halo ODST OST undoubtedly - listening to it right now, as a matter of fact :)
The SS elite guard assault in Return to castle wolfenstein is pretty baddass. This percussion ...

Also, The Great library from Myth 2: Soulblighter. A lot Myths ost is magnificent, with the distant ominous thundering whomping of drums ...

Across the Bog, the rise of legends version is mostly just beautiful.

And the best one: Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl. The main menu theme

I don't ussualy enjoy video game OST's though. I mostly switch off the audio and crank Jon Leifs or Carl Nielsen up in the background.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Great game and great soundtrack. Probably the last time I had real innocence and hope when it came to gaming. Soon the 32-bit wars would come and things would get really complicated, like in all things. Every time I hear that soundtrack I think of those weird times in the early/mid 90s when we still didn't know where all this was going, but we were determined to race ahead, giant blue hedgehog balls scraping the ground as we charged into the future.

Some random good music :

The Baldur's Gate series had some great soundtracks !
Battleforge had a good soundtrack. The game is closed now but there is a revival project going on : Skylords reborn.
Company of Heroes had good music, which can be freely downloaded on Steam here.
Stéphane Picq did some good soundtracks for Cryo years ago (Dune and his Spice Opera soundtrack, etc.)
Clint Bajakian is also a great composer, he did work for LucasArts (Outlaws, Dark Forces, Fate of Atlantis, etc.)
Everybody knows about Jeremy Soule I suppose (Icewind Dale, KOTOR1&2, etc.)
Medal of Honor Allied Assault had an awesome music (Michael Giacchino).
No One Lives Forever 1 & 2 had good music. Besides it can be downloaded freely has seen on another thread.

About old school music, I like what did Barry Leitch (Lotus II, Supercars II, TFX, Utopia, etc.).

On the Japanese side, I bet everybody knows about Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy), Yoko Shimomura, Yuzo Koshiro (Streets of Rage, most music of which were remixed in the excellent : Streets of Rage Remake, etc.
My favorite ones are of:-

AC Black Flag, Borderlands 2, Ori and the Blind Forest, Battlefield series.
NES music:
Robocop 3
Overlord/Supremacy
Journey to Silius
Solstice
The Smurfs
TMNT series
Asterix
Erik the Viking (unreleased)
Pictionary
Silver Surfer

Hero Quest (unreleased), Batman: Return of the Joker, Bucky O'Hare, Gremlins 2, Magician, Metal Gear 2: Snake's Revenge, Skate or Die 2, Contra Force, Bayou Billy, Target Renegade

MSX/Spectrum/Amstrad/ST (AY-3-8910) music:
Turrican 2 (ST)

My favorites:

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Kyne's Peace is hands-down my favorite Elder Scrolls piece, in a series brimming with fantastic music. Skyrim is overall my favorite soundtrack of the series.

The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall
Special shout-outs to several of the dungeon tracks and the snowing theme that originally came from Arena, along with a few others (too bad the tracks don't have actual names to make it easier to point them out).

Unreal
Probably my favorite video-game soundtrack of all-time. It is so hard to even pick a favorite out of all of them. The combat theme of Dusk Horizon, the very first combat theme that plays in the game, is my current ring-tone.

Half-Life/Half-Life 2
Half-Life 2 has great tracks, but most of my favorites were in the original Half-Life first. Vague Voices--the track that plays during the tram ride at the beginning of the original game--is my favorite Half-Life piece.

Mirror's Edge
Favorites are Ropeburn, New Eden, and Pirandello Kruger.

Quake 2
Descent into Cerberon is definitely my favorite. Shame that the GOG version doesn't automatically play the soundtrack in the game, so I had to listen to it outside of it.
There are plenty of great game OSTs (and it's great when GOG includes the OST as a bonus), but overall I guess I'd pick Breath of Fire IV. The game has a wislisht entry.
Farcry menu music, best menu ever.
Xenosaga 2 had some crazy music but Xenosaga 3 had something that hit me hard, The melodic music and the god damn ending of this game was the first game to ever make me cry my eyes out... The ending when all the characters you like start to die and sad music plays it's cry fest all over the place. the ending theme when they are wrapping up the story hit me hard.

Till this day nothing can top this game at all. best rpg ever <3

ps don't watch if you plan on playing this on emulator or original disc
