Hi -people-,
Be it an album as a whole or one particular song.

My is this Bioshock OST

For some reason i got that warmth feeling from listening to old/vintage records.

I always liked the Might and Magic operas best.
Ooh, I have way too many favourites to pick just one. Bastion, Dark Cloud 2, Shatter, Mass Effect, Kingdom Hearts, Dear Esther, Thomas Was Alone, Dustforce, Brave Fencer Musashi and the first three Spyro the Dragon games..... to name a few. :P
Trine.
The first Soul Reaver has the best OST, and you have no right to disagree .

Full Throttle
Do you mean as in a soundtrack specifically composed for it, or as in made up of songs featured in the game but not necessarily composed specifically for it? If the former, my top ones are:
- The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief (I'm just a sucker for classical music)
- Grim Fandango (you can probably tell by now I like orchestral tracks)
- Probably Trine, but I honestly haven't played much of it and have only listened to snippets of the soundtrack
- Machinarium
- Botanicula

If the latter, I can't quite say. Maybe Bioshock, which, again, I haven't really played.

Nope. I've said it before, I'm a Puzzlemaster, not a fighter. Can't stand shooters and get bored with RPGs, which is probably a direct insult to about 85% of the entire GOG community. I'm such a rebel.

Also, forgot to mention, if you count console games as well, nearly all of the Professor Layton games had impressive soundtracks, as did Mutant Mudds.

The first easy question in months! I played Contrast recently and OST of that game became my all time favorite the second the music hit my ears. It touched my heart! Wonderful.
Sorry for console games list X-)

Ico ~Melody in the Mist~
Shadow of the Colossus: Roar of the Earth -- Kō Ōtani's score is just wonderful.
Silent Hill-series, from there, Silent Hill 2 goes just a bit over others..
Journey - This is just.. wow..

If you mean entire soundtracks, then probably Monkey Island 2. Every tune in that game was incredible.

I'm very much a (classic) adventure gamer, so most of my favourites are from those games. Aside from Monkey Island, most of my favourites are from Sierra games- I still have the music for King's Quest VI (Girl in the Tower, Nightingale's song, etc.), King's Quest V (Weeping Willow, Town music, Ice Queen), Quest for Glory (Erana's Peace, the Adventure tune whatever it is called), and Conquest of Longbow (don't remember the names, but quite a lot of the tunes) in my regular playlist.

Stepping a bit out of my adventure zone, there's Alexander Brandon's Jazz Jackrabbit soundtrack, Robert Prince's Doom Soundtrack and Charles Deenen's Lord of the Rings soundtrack.
I say we have a vote on the best soundtrack and force poor Mikopotato to keep count of the votes since he made the post. Personally, my vote's in for The Raven.
The Last Ninja - C64
God of War has a kick ass soundtrack.
