Loot!
I happen to love ricochets, actually. Hard West and Steamworld Heist make me happy. Maybe because I grew up with Lucky Luke comics.

I'm surprised it isn't more of a thing, considering the constant pustule of shootbangs we have.
Hello all,

I usually choose to play only if I can do so as a female. Now, don't get rilled up, it has nothing to do with anything except my preferences :)

So, if I can play as a female AND get gear that modify the appereance, I'm in.

Doesn't mean I don't play games where you can only play a male character though. But usually, if it's a mute male PC in a RPG, open world or anything, I tend to pass (and yes, I'm still bothered to not be able to play as Linkle in BOTW).
Option to travel instantly to previously explored area by portal, maps etc. Really useful when I didn't have the mood to travel on my own.

How do you feel about central hub style systems where you have to go to a central point to warp everywhere else?

As long as it feels like a necessity it would be fine I guess. Especially if the map is one giant world.

pretty much what zlaywal just said. If it's done right, under the right circumstances, it can be great.

If not it can feel pretty meaningless and stupid, like, why did you even bother adding it.

Being able to play as a female character (or a non-binary one) is important for me as well.

(An example of a game with a non-binary protagonist is Undertale; the main character's appearance doesnt make it obvious whether they're a boy or a girl, any mane associated with the character (other than the one the player assigns at the start of the game) doesn't have any obvious gender, and the few instances pronouns are used to refer to the main character, singular they is used.)

(Would you play a game where the only option is for your character to be non-binary?)
cats! feline familiars!
or Dr. Cat from Ultima VI who ended up in the NES game boy spin off games.
I think Quest For Glory had a number of familair cat opertunities.
but I am guessing by Hero U that the creators are cat haters, not lovers!
too bad
I love cats in games
especially wizard familars!

I'm not sure as to what "non-binary" truly means but if you're talking about androgynous characters, then yes.

In fact, if I recall correctly, there wasn't an option to pick a sex in South Park the Stick of Truth and the main character was referenced as "New Kid" or other meaner nicknames. You could however dress the character with any clothes or hairstyle you wished so voila!

Dr. Cat was one of the developers working on Ultima VI. It started as a self-insert. He's still around the development world and goes by Felorin now.

Cats get plenty of love as of late. Have you heard about those Grimalkynes/Palicoes? The later can be customized for ultimate kitty cuteness. Also, I can't resist posting this attachment...

I like it when games encourage damage boosting. (Damage boosting is taking damage on purpose to gain an advantage, such as reaching an area you couldn't otherwise reach.) It makes health not simply be something you need to avoid losing at all costs, but rather something that is useful, but that you have to ration (or find ways of restoring it).

I suppose the price of Evolution is high since my cat's being afraid of mice and flies. But it's cute, not useful, but fluffy cute.

I'm just going to cite the well known Cat Quest here as it's, also, a very cute game with, I'll add, gear that modify the appearance :D
