Wonder why just UC4; wouldn't it be better to bring the whole series? Its not like Sony is selling PS3s and PS4s when people play UC5 and supposedly buy the older consoles to play the first games.

Hopefully Bloodborne is next.

It's possible that they used the Uncharted 4 logo just because, and that it doesn't necessarily mean that it's the next game releasing on PC and/or that the previous Uncharted aren't coming.

According to rumours, the Uncharted Collection is in the plans too. We'll just have to wait for official confirmation.
is it as good as tomb raider?

It's funny because Uncharted clearly took inspiration from Tomb Raider, but the newer Tomb Raider took some cues from Uncharted, so they're similar and of the same genre.

Overall, Uncharted has better production values. Shooting I think is better in Tomb Raider, but that might be because I played on PC with mouse+keyboard, while Uncharted I played with a controller. I also think the platforming sections are easier on Uncharted, like sometimes the game plays for itself.

But they're both very good, imo. And if you liked Tomb Raider, I think you'll definitely like Uncharted.

It definitely would make sense. I guess Thief's End is a self contained story in theory, but really it only works in full as the big finale of Nathan Drake's adventures. Nothing about the characters and their motivations carries any meaning without it. It's a fantastic game though.

I would also assume they'll port Lost Legacy, the stand-alone expansion to 4. It's probably my second favorite game in the whole series right after Thief's End, and that's really quite an accomplishment considering how the protagonists are two characters I really hated when they were supporting characters in the main series.

Well, not neccesairly. I love the Uncharted games (despite being sometimes quite frustrated with them), but I pretty much hated the new Tomb Raider (I only played the first of the new ones).

Yeah, that would make sense. Shame the same can't be said about the Metal Gear Solid HD collection. Uncharted and Horizon are made by Sony controlled studios while Konami seems to bear no obligation to either Sony or common sense.

I saw it. I'm clinging to hopes that it'll come out sooner than winter 2024.

The story sucked, it was full of QTEs, I almost always dislike survival elements in games and overall it just felt... un-fun. Uncharted games always have that spirit of high adventure about them, sometimes things get a bit grim for a time, as they should for the adventure to feel like something is really at stake and the risks are real, but overall there's always a sense of fun and wonder about what's being done and discovered. Tomb Rider on the other hand felt too gritty and grimy, too miserable, with no humor, no joy and an unwilling protagonist who doesn't want to be there. It's like the whole game went on an adventure begrudgingly and complained about the weather and mosquitos the whole time.

I definitely agree about Tomb Raider feeling miserable as well as humor- and joyless. I also fail to understand why in the blue hell they turned Lara Croft into a whiny crybaby without any interest in actually being in the adventure. I can't comment on the story as i won't waste my time watching cutscenes, but what do you mean by the survival elements? I can't really recall any mechanics regarding that to be honest.
No Golden Abyss - no buy!

Crafting mostly. I hate the busy-work of having to waste any time gathering things to make the things I actually need, when I could just as well be simply finding those things I need and skip the middle-part.

In terms of story and characters, I would agree. And things like the cutscene changing you to bow and arrow rather than the fully automatic rifle I was using is annoying. It is however still a good game, played it through twice. The second is not bad as well. Shadow of a tomb raider though is pretty bad across, lacking even the action of the first first two.

Uncharted was a good series, didn’t like 4 as much, however the follow up lost legacy even being anti male propaganda was better, with a slight open world feel. It’s one of those games I keep PS consoles around for.
