I was searching for them, I forgot I don't have them on the internal HDD but on the external one. I added a bonus cat.

I don't know where the cat comes from, he appears once in a blue moon. He does not seem a stray, but it isn't one of my neighbours, either.
For the King! we play during hot summer days, fighting evil on perilous adventure down the road.

I'm melting in the game too

Last summer I broke my foot just a few days before going on vacation. That meant a sudden goodbye to all my summer plans. But it was also a chance to reminisce my childhood and rediscover the adventure genre.

Monkey Island, Flight of the Amazon Queen and a bunch of other GOG games helped me to keep my sanity.

A very well-meant thank you for having a forum thread for this giveaway, not just the usual twitter-only deal which makes me feel that gog doesn't care for its own community (as well as personally excluded for not using social media).

I'm not a very creative person, so no pictures or videos from me - but for me, living in the Netherlands, summers feel mostly unpleasant (I vastly prefer spring and autumn). We generally don't get super hot days, but the heat we get is almost always very humid and oppressive, so I tend to sit inside a lot, trying to move as little as possible, and just endure. My PC doesn't have a super powered videocard, so doesn't give off too much heat, and that means that gaming is quite possible.

My best memories and experiences of summer gaming are from the evenings of the hottest day, where the humidity has built up so much that the massive thunderstorms rolling in at the end of the day feel exactly as inevitable as they are. When the rain starts pouring down, I'll throw the doors to the garden wide open to let the house cool down (finally free to do so without the risk of hordes of mosquitoes flying in!), and have the sounds of heavy rain and thunder - and the light effects of the lightning - provide the perfect background atmosphere to any number of games.

I have a particular memory of playing through Old Vizima in the first Witcher on such an evening, and that really working very well. Not certain yet what I'll be playing when the first summer thunderstorm of the coming season will be rolling in, but I have no doubt that I'll find something appropriate. :)

Linko90: How do you mix your love of gaming with the summer?
Well, since school is out for the summer and we no longer have homework to worry about, me and my cousin pull off all nighters playing video games together! :D Right now we recently got back into the Elder Scrolls Online, we created new characters and are racing to see who can reach level 50 first! Thanks to my lack of sleep these past few nights, I might win! :P
Two summers ago me and my computer almost melted. The Witcher 3 with a GTX770. Good times! I kept on playing all day, and each time the temperature in the room raised by a couple of degrees, as if the hot summer was not infernal already with 40°C outside and 80% of humidity.
Usually I tend to be smarter though, and stick with low-demanding games, mostly oldies.

I was in Rome in August last year. I almost couldn't breathe, it was way above 40 Celsius and the wind was burning, the asphalt melted under my shoes. Seriously. Tuscany seemed like Nevada, with dust flying everywhere and sunburnt plants; it didn't rain for nearly three months.

This was from years ago when me and my pals were into Magic The Gathering, I still remember this day, my buddy playing with Allies and me playing with Elves. The board turned into this horrifying mess of super buffed creatures and we were too scared to attack and not have enough to block next turn, basically a stalemate for a long time. Eventually I just won by pure brute force of numbers, and I had to take a photo to remember probably my most chaotic MTG game.

One of my best memories about summer gaming was the launch of Zelda Wind Waker. A friend and I had preordered the game at the local GAME store and we both got the golden box with the extra disc in it. From the moment we went home, we simply couldn't put the game down, the game was that good and immersive. The setting was perfect for a summer in Spain too, as Link traveled the ocean with a (mostly) sunny sky above and a refreshing wind behind. A week later we finished the game almost at the same time and I remember my friend called me on the phone on a saturday morning to tell me about it. The game was a solo adventure, but the experience was shared and we spoke over the great world we had just explored.

Perhaps it's not the best story ever, but it is a happy memory of my childhood and it still warms my heart :)
Ahhh fallout(both of them!!!) game. I even went in to hex editing this game to make it more interesting LOL
My favorite game(s)!
