stryderxx: Cyberpunk 2077 might be the last game I purchase from GOG. I'm trying to reinstall the game and my download has been stuck at under 2mbps for several hours now. I don't have this problem on other platforms.
Try uninstalling galaxy, then downloading the game from your account, here.

Gekko_Dekko: was about to make a new tread about similar issue, lol.

Im not using gog galaxy, but it feels like cyberpunk's release has caused a massive "steam sale" effect on gog's servers. Sometimes even the site itself returns errors related to heavy load. And standalone offline installers either fail to download due to interruptions or get extremely low download speed
Glad I'm not alone. I was gettin100 mbps downloads Sunday, and since Monday it's been just horrible. Was wondering if some massive release was overwhelming their bandwidth.
Well my Cyberpunk is not launching so I'm reinstalling it, but what a surprise average download speed is about 0.3MB/s. I guess that by the time it downloads, the game should be bug free.
I'm having the same issue - I've been getting download speeds of 0.3 MB/s since the weekend - very annoying
I tried changing the settings as suggested but hasn't had an effect. I hope this is getting fixed soon - a week is a long time. No issues with competing platforms where speeds are what I would expect. I'm a huge advocate for this platform but between the product launch and this, with no visible response (unless I've missed?), I'm getting concerned
(I will add that I've had no problem launching programs, including cyberpunk which has been running really well for me on PC - big fan of the game - its hit my expectations and is a lot of fun, team should be proud)

Been downloading since the evening of the 9th. Glad I snagged an Xbox SX copy too. I hope the devs get new management after all this. What awful bosses.
Same issue, I changed my CPU and did a fresh windows install, the first download with the other CPU went well, now I'm getting 0.5MB/s, while I get 24MB/s in steam.

Changing the speed limit didn't work, the firewall already had GOG with permissions

actively wishing I didnt think, "Hey, I like CDP, I want them to have my money, all most all of it in fact. Lets buy it on GOG." Should'a just got it on Steam like every other title I own.
Probably goes through a proxy in China to approve the content being delivered.
I have a 1 gigabit connection and usually I download at speeds of tens of Megabytes per second. Right now on GOG I'm only getting a fraction of that. It's terrible.
I get 11.5MB/s which is pretty much maxing out my 100Mbps Internet connection so no problem here (Canada). Could be a problem at your ISP, or in between your ISP and GOG's CDN.
I hope this gets fixed soon

I had issues with getting the 1.05 patch and figured I would just delete and reinstall the whole game and I left it all night at it was only at 40%.

I have gigabit internet and my speed test consistently tests near that speed and never had this issue before with GOG. There is clearly something wrong with their system at the moment.

I ended up skipping using GOG Galaxy and just downloaded the backup files straight from the GOG website and that was faster(took about an hour to get all 27 files)
My GOG Galaxy speed starts at ~20mb/s or faster and then all of sudden drops to <1mb and stays there. But this only seems to happened first with the Cyberpunkt 1.05 Update.before it was stable and fast.
So I guess this is due to Cyberpunk's update servers, or wherever GOG get's the data for the patch (and maybe due to all the users updating currently).

Still <1mb is way to slow for 9GB data... you guys @GOG should work on this pretty quick please, and/or tell CD Projekt RED to do it. It's annoying that we have to wait like half the day for an update in our times! I do not have time to wait for updates all day and then another 10 hours to wait until the update was downloaded.

Either leave us alone without the patches and let us just "play", do not force us to apply patches at once. Or work on this please.
Thank you

Same issue here DL<1mb to 3mb a sec. Finally got around to Cyberpunk this weekend and was excited to see a patch...not so much now. Pretty lame
high rated
I just switched "don't limit" download speed off and on; my DL speed went from .5 to 50 and holding ... ymmv
