Did anyone else here ever play
Elasto Mania? I know I'm not the only one who played it, because we had a leaderboard going in my class when I studied computer science, and I know it still has a small but active community, but I've never really seen it referenced anywhere or heard anyone else talk about it, outside it's own specific community.
The game is a 2D side-view dirt bike trials game, but quite abstract and over the top. You navigate through the levels picking up red apples, and finish a level by hitting a daisy once all apples are collected. The objective is to finish each level in as short a time as possible. The bike is quite weak, the gravity is quite low, and the suspension is quite elastic (hence Elasto Mania). You can flip the bike from side to side (so you are going either left or right), and you can rotate it by shifting your weight forwards or backwards. All these things combined enables you to do some
pretty sick stunts. Oh, and you can save replays to document your performance.
