ShadowAngel.207: Uhm, the topic is about games you think only you played, not "list some classics everybody knows and likes" Especially those NES games are all really well known.
If you wanna say a rare NES games, pick something like Ike Ike! Nekketsu Hockey-bu: Subete Koronde Dairantō which barely anybody outside Japan even knows.

I could probably easily list some german computer games like Das Magazin, Das Amt, Software Manager which aren't even that well known here in Germany, let alone outside that country.
Fine i remove those games from the list. You happy!
G-NOME
Outpost 2
Freakin' Funky Fuzzballs
I think Boovie can qualify.
I always liked Microman, good game I got is from an over 1000 games disc.

Dave Dude is an adventure game about on the level of early ags games, but it was released on 1996 I think.

Also L.E.D. Wars was an interesting RTS sorta like Dark Reign. Not nearly as good though.

At one time, Hard War. I got it shortly after release and loved it. But nobody ever heard if it or played it for many years. Then all of a sudden, lots of people were playing it

I had some old c64 budget games that I'm sure nobody ever heard of. I out crazy time into Sentinel. I remember it being some sort of sci-fi game. I'll have to see if I can look it up. It's been a while. Edit: not just me:

Until I found gog, I thought my family was the only family who ever heard of jazz the jack rabbit.

I think I may be the only person who liked shaq-fu. So I may be a person nobody has ever heard of.

P. S. I got a chance to play some awesome video games that work with the diVinci surgical robot. Those were fun.

Nope, I played that one too!
Really really difficult but a lot of fun.

I'm not sure if there are any games I've played that were particularly obscure... probably freeware and shareware games but I can't remember the names of them..

There was one American Civil War game, it was a bit like a board game (Risk) and involved moving armies around from city to city trying to capture the enemies cities. It was really good but I doubt anyone else had played it or heard of it...

Uhm, those are well-known classics, not obscure in any way.

Well, I recently found out that someone else played a knockoff of Earthworm Jim called Crazy Drake, that was packed by less than credible publisher eGames.

Are you thinking of Infrograms North Vs South?

dtgreene: Centauri Alliance, though not until a long time after release. It can be described as Bard's Tale in space.
Ha! Sorry dtgreene, you strike out on this one being "only you" because I loved this game.

I still have all my hand-drawn maps on graph paper... in the original box! I would love to see this one again someday. T

And also... "Dragon Wars" is another of my all-time favorites, but there have been multiple threads about that already.

No... it looked a bit similar but probably less graphical ( I don't remember battles being as animated) and there was an element of building up your controlled cities and armies I think.

Very close though, might even be related somehow...
Well, I haven't heard anyone else mentioning 3 in Three yet. Granted, I didn't play it back when it was recent, but found it only a few years ago when it had long since fallen into obscurity.
I'm sure any game I can mention will be known to at least one GOG forum member, instead I'll name a couple of titles that may be known but are not popular, and I still like love them:

Indiana Jones in the Lost Kingdom (Commodore 64)
Drakkhen (I was playing this when we switched from an EGA to a VGA monitor and I remember being so impressed by the sky gradient, lol.)

shadow1980jpv: Commodore 64 Lode runner
Lode Runner is one of my favorite C64 games. :) There was also a sequel for PC that I liked, can't remember the full name, it had an isometric view.
I haven't played most of the games posted above. Hell, I don't even know the majority of them.

I throw in the table the following games:

Angels vs Devils
Pro Beach Soccer
Urban Freestyle Soccer
El Matador

krugos2: Drakkhen (I was playing this when we switched from an EGA to a VGA monitor and I remember being so impressed by the sky gradient, lol.)
It is one of my favorite CRPG. :-)

The isometric one is Lode Runner 2.
It is fun, buy I prefer the 1983 original and Lode Runner: The Legend Returns.

It is the renamed re-release/porting of Tehkan World Cup, a well-known classics arcade.
(Tehkan renamed to Tecmo in 1986.)
