mechmouse: Still looking good for Instrument of Destruction coming to GOG

https://twitter.com/radiangames/status/1776233180745363563
Thanks for the information. I was really looking forward to the release of the game on GOG (I had already contacted the developer a few years ago). =)

SCPM: a batch of SNK games have been spotted in GOG's API

WinterSnowfall: More Neo Geo games? Count me in!
Great news. I'm especially happy about Last Resort, Ninja Commando and Magician Lord.
There are many other NeoGeo games available elsewhere (like Sengoku, Zed Blade, NAM 1975, Prehistoric Isle 2, the Aero Fighters series etc.), let's hope they find their way here eventually.
Hopefully the next batch of SNK games will do well enough to encourage SNK to release more of there more recent games here again.

Those aren't off the table yet. The list SCPM shared is only what we're aware of, but there could be more.

I'd be happy with all their Neo Geo library, but sure :P.

I hope that won't affect us getting KOF15 and the other new games as I can't bring myself to pay for many of the Neo Geo games when 90% of them here are the same ancient, inadequate emulations wrapped in a bad UI from DotEmu. I'm almost 100% sure that all those ones incoming are DotEmu releases too...

Fair point, but as long as the ROMs are extracted and accessible (a very big plus in my book), one can use an emulator of choice really.

Also a fair point, I do appreciatet when I can take the rom out and use it in a more competent bit of software, but are the DotEmu sets still compatible with MAME though? They're quite old and MAME sets do tend to change a lot over time.

Not really, but most if not all should work fine with FinalBurn Neo.

You can add ROBO ARMY to SCPM's list of incoming SNK games. There seems to be more under the covers, as I suspected.

There's also indication We Need To Go Deeper is getting closer to GOG (or maybe GOG is sinking? :P).

There's also some hint that The Inquisitor is coming this way, not sure if it's been mentioned before.

Edit: The hint is different than Galaxy files being added to the game, so let's call The Inquisitor doubly unofficially confirmed.

Looks like talks with GoG in regards to AtomTeam's currently still crowdfunding Infinity Engine-inspired cRPG Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy have taken place already:

Also consider checking a look at Scribe (Wishlist entry), maybe even backing and if you do, asking for a GoG release, while you're at it.

Oh, we've been asking the devs for it, so that's good to hear.
