Figure at least Rage would get released.

I think Goglodytes Rage is ensured and GoG's Doom imminent, if no one from the staff works on bringing those games here.

Sulibor: Based on official Amazon Prime blog GoG's version of Fallout 76 will be given away as part of their Prime offer on 11.04:

Uh, how the hell is that gonna work here for a game that was designed pretty much solely around multiplayer? Bethesda/MS should release more singleplayer stuff here like Rage, which i'm surprised isn't here already.

...are you serious?

I always expect some stupid, hypocritical things out of this place, but Fallout goddamn 76? An online only multiplayer game? Something that's actually less suited to GOG than what we had with the previous Hitman debacle? If GOG brings the literal antithesis of DRM free here, you might as well just stick a fork in the site, as they'll have compromised everything to a degree that'll be the final straw for a lot of users.

They would need some serious DOOM 2016 level releases to bandaid over such a core-breaking release.

Please do not shoot the messenger. I just came across this information, we will see soon enough how GoG will play this one out. From what I read the game can technically be played without interaction with other players so maybe DRM Free version is possible. OR it has something to do with the Amazon Luna and GoG partnership.

Fully awaiting the shitstorm that this news brings if it is indeed true.

If GOG isn't careful it might just bring DOOM. Bad joke aside, I don't get the thought process behind this. They better of gotten something really good such as DOOM 2016, Rage, Terminator: SkyNet/Future Shock, Prey 2006, Wolfenstein 2009, Heretic II, etc, etc, etc (or even a good portion of those to have to take in Fallout 76).

After Hitman you would of thought that they would of leaned a lesson, but this will be so much worse. No real rhyme or reason for them to do so unless they happen to have something mentioned above and it was part of the deal. Even so this isn't the way to grow a brand concerning keeping older games alive here. Not like anyone is clamoring for Fallout 76 on GOG, unlike the above mentioned titles.

I guess only this makes sense.

Well , wait and drink tea and get back to the topic :-D

Not upset with you, just absolutely shocked that GOG could compromise their site's core concept this badly. I sure hope they have some special plan, like they've helped make the game work offline or secured some huge, most-wanted single-player releases and this was part of a contractual obligation or something, because if not, I sure would like to know how GOG thinks selling a terrible, online-only game is going to benefit a DRM free store.

Yup, a DRM-free version is technically feasible, it can be like playing in a private (offline) server

That said I doubt that's the case, chances are is a key for Amazon Luna that you can redeem through GOG or something
"Fallout 76 on GOG"

April Fool's has come and gone.
Other outlets are reporting the same and it appears as if it is some cross promotion with the Fallout TV Series. The same as what was done with the Monolith Middle-earth games and Rings of Power.
Disappointing. Of all the still missing Bethesda games that could possibly be released here, they choose Fallout 76. Probably the worst of the series and a multiplayer focused one. I get that is because of the show from Amazon, but still disappointing no less.
It is possible that the release of "fallout 76" is part of the preservation of some multiplayer that GOG mention here.

I was thinking the same, and it would play along with that "preservation mission" they were bragging about recently.

F76 might be a decent game at this point but surely not worth risking the backslash if it was online-only release.
Personally, I don't mind seeing these games coming. But I hope GOG doesn't spend too much on them. As others have mentioned, Bethesda games like Doom 2016/Eternal, Rage and others are missing and much more deserving of their place.
