Thank you very much for the challenge (and the giveaway, of course)! Who would have thought counting syllables in English would be so entertaining. Here's mine:

It's a harmless kind of crime
And the sentence, but a dime
Just another hill to climb
For our unexpected rhyme

The wind blows the other way
Like a little tyrant's play
Blame the oath that Fates betray
Take my arm and seize the day

We've run out of time to spend
No more rules let there to bend
After this tale finds its end
You will always be my friend

_Slaugh_: Eid Mubarak, Babark, and thanks for this creative giveaway ! :-)

There is a place full of bugs
More addictive than a drug
Where people have huge backlogs
This nice kingdom is called GOG.

At the center of a park
Lies a statue of Babark
That is shining in the dark
Like a glorious landmark.
Hey, Slaugh. Good to see you.

babark: [...] Feel free to enter for someone else, and the entries will end at some point on the 26th of August.
Here you go and say straight faced
My idea you embraced
Yet the rule has it erased
Oh my joy was so misplaced.

Sad you made me with this twist
How I want to raise my fist
Yet decided to resist
Though I know you will insist.

ZFR: Gold, gold, gold, gold, gold, gold, gold.
Gold? Gold, gold gold. Gold gold gold!
Gold gold gold gold gold gold gold.
Gold gold gold gold. Gold, gold... gold!
But much better is platinium!
More practical - aluminium.
Wonna stronger? Take titanium.
Gold is nothing but poo-pah-nium!

But Lithium is the best
It stores energy, compressed
And puts emotions to rest
When you are manic-depressed

Thanks, that's what I want to say.
Hope he see that from today.
I mean gold is quite okay,
But it's nothing wow and yay.

Perfecto!
Women are a mystery
To men and their misery
Without them, they must agree
Our world would be history.

Thanks for the giveaway! Blessed Eid-ul-Adha to you and your loved ones! This was challenging one, not so creatively, but English is not my native language and I hope that my syllable count is right. This one is short, I call it "Cycle of Life" :)

From torrents of rain came flood
Soaked seeds are nourished in mud
Sprouting saplings grow and bud
Blossoms bonnie Earth's lifeblood

Thank you for the wishes, xalegra and others!

And with that, I'm closing this competition. I'll be going through the entries and randoming a winner soon!
Greatings from Turkey. Happy plays to winners. May god bless all goglovers
Thanks for all the participation! I had a lovely time going through the entries, the jokes and jokey entries, the tanaga conversations, and the wellwishers!

I had six favourites, out of which random.org picked a winner of $20,
and then discounting that winner, random.org picked two other entrants.

There's sometimes problems with winners being downvoted, so I'll leave off naming them. They can say so themselves if they wish. PMs headed out!
