Holy crap, I missed the post about the demo. Thanks for keeping us updated Amok!
I see The Creeper World games are currently discounted on Gamersgate. In case anybody missed them last time.
After a long wait... another video: "Turtle". http://knucklecracker.com/blog/index.php/2018/09/turtle/

The waves - especially when a huge amount of creeper is released by the stash - look amazing. And creeper breeding... this is going to be a worthy CW3 successor.
I just grabbed the anniversary editions of the first two - didn't realise they'd been updated. The first game is still fun despite the simplicity, I can't wait for CW4.

Has anyone here played Particle Fleet?

yes. it is not CW... it is much more an RTS game. it is still fun, but I found it a bit more limited than the CW games. It is well worth it, but don't go into it with the wrong expectations. it also felt much shorter, for some reason, when I started to get into it, it was suddenly finished.

Is it RT with pause (like CW) or RT only? I know it's more RTS in the sense of moving units but I'm terrible at RT without pause.

yes, you can still pause and issue orders

Phew! I imagine I'll enjoy it then. Perhaps it can tide me over until CW4 is out. At the moment I'm replaying 1 (anniversary edition this time).

Yeah it's fun. The story is actually a lot more limited than what you get on the Exchange... one thing he did well was include a ship designer. Once you get into the Exchange levels the ships start to get a lot bigger and more important to your strategy.

Basically, think of the campaign as like a big tutorial.
By the way, what's the status with gog ? The absence of this series still baffles me. Has there been reasons given for it, on one side or the other ?

no, not heard a thing. i think there was a rumor that CW3 was submitted years ago, but that was about it.

Does anyone know if the Steam keys provided can be used as serial keys for the installers on Knuckle Cracker's site? I'm looking at Particle Fleet specifically.
As part pf the Steam Game Festival, Creeper World 4 has an early demo for the time the event is on - get it here:

It looks to be just as good as the earlier games, based on this demo
