Thank you for the giveaway! I would like to be in. :)

Here's a picture of my wrist watch. Nothing fancy, but it holds a very special meaning to me because it was a gift from my coworkers that they gave me on my last day at my first job. I was only an intern at the time and I didn't expect to leave any kind of "footprint" in the place, so to speak. It was a complete surprise, they made me believe we were going to a meeting... only to find all of them gathered, standing and staring at me. It took me a while to realize what was going on. :D

Cool idea for a giveaway. I haven't worn a watch in ages, but when I did many years ago, I loved gimmick watches. As a kid I loved the tiger electronic games and constantly wore the Batman Tiger Game watch, and in high school I had the full collection of Burger King Simpsons watches.

Not in.

But I so want to speak on this game - and how much I love it, even warts and all.

Already own VTMB from retail and also on GOG - and it's My own personal Favorite Game of all Time. It ain't perfect for numerous reasons...but I love this game to death, even despite it flaws.

Some flaws IMHO on VTMB - clunky combat (like most RPG/Action/Shooter hybrids before Mass Effect 2); don't do Malkavian Playthrough on 1st one (or 1st few) b/c those are harder playthroughs for many reasons and it expects you to know the game and learn the weird Malkavian lingo; don't do Nosferatu on 1st playthrough b/c it's more difficult initially b/c you need to play all stealth since anyone sees you will cause a Violation of the Masquerade likely and you can only do a limited amount of these violations (even though you can Redeem some of these bacl); game gets to action-y in the back 1/3rd of the story; some of the story/character stuff ain't wrapped-up so hot by the end and could use more info/epilogue stuff; etc etc.

Still, the above stuff shouldn't stop you from playing. Everything else is amazing. The choices (especially early on); atmosphere; traditional OST from Womb Music; licensed music in the game (Chiasm and more!); characters; writing; game-world; the setting, time-period, and locations; twist & turns in story & some quests so speaks to me. So well done. Such a phenomenal game all for all this stuff. WORTH playing for all of that stuff; so great at all of this.

I hope whomever winds up w/ this loves this until their Final Death - just like I do. Warts and all - such an awesome and out-standing game.

Shout-out to all the modders like Wesp who kept this game alive w/ their mods and/or official patches. Much love for that.

Best Game of All Time for me is Deus Ex 1: GOTY though.

Not in, since I already have this masterpiece.
Kudos for the generosity.
Thanks for the giveaway! I'm in.

Back in the 1980s, while in junior high, I had for a very short time a beautiful Citizen 4-098072 TA LCD digital watch. It had time with second display, and a chronometer which measured up to a hundredth of a second. It was incredibly cool! Sadly, it was stolen after some time. I still miss it to this day.

I found a picture online of a watch that looks very similar, attached to this post. Thanks again for the giveaway!

Not in, but +1 for a unique giveaway topic, Random_Coffee! ;)

I love watches and admiring watches on others, but not on me. For some inexplicable reason, I do not enjoy wearing stuff on my wrists (same goes for bracelets, rings on fingers and necklaces around the neck). Makes me feel uncomfortable.

Having said that, I do recall in the 80's, I purchased my only timepiece I ever owned and it was a pocket watch I found at a pawn shop: it was a vintage miltary-looking silver pocket watch that I needed to wind. It had a lid with an inner photo insert and a chain from which the watch was held. I used to wear it in my front jean pocket with the chain attached to my denim, as not to lose it. Sadly, I do not have it anymore (lost it?) nor do I have a picture of it. But I remember loving that pocket watch so much. Unlike a wrist watch, it made me feel like I was some secret time traveller whenever I'd pull that thing out of my pocket. LOL!

Catventurer: The other picture is two fob watches that were originally my grandfather's until he passed.
I love your grandfather's pocket watch. :) Absolutely lovely! By the way, what is a "fob" watch. What does that mean?

I started to wear the watch I took a pic of earlier in this thread and that's pretty much why I sometimes don't wear it. My wrist does get sweaty because of it. But at least I can check the time while I'm around my boss without him getting fixated over me looking at my phone for any reason, even if to check the clock.

The watch fob is the chain and/or ribbon attached to these types of watches. Over the years, I've heard them referred to as both pocket watches and fob watches pretty interchangeably to the extent that I have developed the habit of referring to the watch itself as a fob watch when it has a watch fob and a pocket watch when it doesn't.

This made me laugh. Reason for wearing watch: to keep suspicious boss away! It's like a super power watch! xD
As for sweat, a handful of my watch-wearing friends have occassionally complained about this. But for me, the problem is not sweat. My friend's cat who goes apeshit if he tries putting a collar on it, this is similar to my reaction with watches and jewelry of any kind. They make me feel "physically constrained", if that makes any sense? Crazy, I know.

Thanks for explaining this to me! I learned something today. :)

I swear, if I just show the screen of the phone right after a notification comes in and then do nothing else, that bothers him. Even if I'm using the phone to write something. It's just stupid, I'm not in class anymore.

That's also another aspect of it, yes, it's one more thing binding you, one more thing you're wearing, that sounds about right. Now that makes me wonder how pets even put up with leashes if some of us can't handle a wrist watch we voluntarily wear.
Thank you for the giveaway, I'm in. A Timex Expedition does a good work for me. In the future I may replace the strap with a plastic one.

I've always wondered how good accuracy is with Timex watches. What's your experience related to that, you make it sound like you're pretty content with yours?
Great game! But not in, since I already have it.

Thanks for the giveaway!

Hello chevkoch!. How are you doing good man?, I hope very well.
Good question, it delays more than a minute every three months, more or less. I mention minute as unit because it's easier to detect time mismatches comparing it to other electronics. I adjust the time and keep going.
Timex is a mixed bag, some defend it, others run away from it and I'm in the middle. This is my second Timex in my life. My first was like 20 years ago when they became very affordable. Back then people didn't have many gadgets with clocks to compare. Reason to not be able to provide a comment about it, I was satisfied with that one too. This one, was a gift from my lady in 2021. My opinion for safety would be to not invest on expensive ones, aim to the middle. I feel the cheap tier are prone to poor accuracy. Where is mine? I can't tell for its unvaluable gift reason, Hahaha. The power of love.
I said you asked a good question because I think the accuracy on budget is the why Casio is so popular. Add the extra functions like chrono, timer, alarms, plus durability and long shell life; and it wins many hearts every day for so long.
I have to go. Thanks chevkoch and Random_Coffee for this chance to conversate and have fun. God bless you good pleople.
Thank you for the giveaway, I'm in.
You can't have a better watch. You always have your time with this watch and even shows the actual time twice a day.
