Good evening gamers. I thought it might be time to do another giveaway. I always have a copy of the *best game ever* in the chamber, so that will be on offer today. If my forum title wasn't a big enough hint, I am of course talking
about Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. I praise this game endlessly to everyone and their dog, but it is also part of my duty as a missionary to give it away and recruit others to the Camarilla.

Finding a good topic for a giveaway is always the hardest part, so today I'll make it easy. I've always liked watches. Show me a cool watch that you own! If you don't have a watch, find a image of one you like on Google. Post a image and tell me a little bit about it.

I have a few digitals, mechanicals, a automatic.. I've had a few smartwatches, but ended up selling them. This is what I'll show off today. The Casio G-Shock DW-5600SKE-7. Also known as "the skeleton". Definitely the weirdest one of my small collection. This is one that you'll either love or hate, but personally I love it. It's one that gets a lot of comments too. The clear resin, the negative display, and the square G-Shock design just makes it feel right. Ruggedness is also a huge plus.

That's it. I'll leave the giveaway open for about a week or so, then I will pick one random winner from the contributions.

Not entering for the reason that I already own it, but that is a nice looking timepiece
Not in but thanks for the giveaway.
Strangely I own a Casio too. The MTP – 1302P. It was a gift from a co-worker, who had been transferred elsewhere two years ago. Before that, I owned a Just. I don’t remember the model. The thing I have about clocks in general, is that I HATE seeing clocks, watches, etc., NOT TELLING THE TIME CORRECTLY. To my eyes it’s its owner embarrassment to leave it show the time wrongly. What purpose has your clock hanging on the wall, if it doesn’t tell the right time?? Just remove it (as clearly you never seem to look at it) and hang something else. A picture, for example. The same with watches. To me, it isn’t just jewelry, to put it on to look cool! Make it work correctly and then put it on!

As for the game, I always wanted to try Bloodlines, but I don’t buy it. The thing is I feel as if “morally obligated” that before playing this, I should play Redemption first, or else I would miss out on something in Bloodlines! However, I haven’t bought Redemption either, as I have read negative things about it and I don’t dare try it (also it looks “strange” gameplay-wise in videos I have seen).

Club Casio! I also wear one. OCW-S5000B.

Also I recently got a Casio keyboard, CT-S500. I have some Casio dictionaries too...

Not in though, I should already have that game.

I think Casio might be the most popular watch brand when it comes to affordability and utility :) We'll probably see a lot of them in this thread. My other Casio is a F-91W that I've used at work for many years (I think the clear Casio would get discolored pretty quickly in heavy industry). And I can definitely relate to being annoyed by clocks being set incorrectly, hah. One of the things that have always bothered me with dual-booting Linux and Windows is how the clocks are always wrong on the desktop.

I wouldn't feel too bad about not playing Redemption first. To be honest.. I haven't played it either. The way I've understood it, is that the World of Darkness universe is big, and the stories in the two games are completely unrelated to one another. Perhaps someone else can confirm or debunk this though. I do plan to play through it eventually, considering my immense fandom for Bloodlines and vampires in general (Bloodrayne is another big favorite). I also haven't played the VNs of Vampire: The Masquerade yet, though I got them in a Humble Bundle a while ago.
I'm not in for a giveaway.
But it's nice to watch these nice watches... :)

Thanks Random_Coffee!

There's literally nothing connecting Redemption and Bloodlines other than being set in the same universe. That being said Redemption is arguably better introduction to WoD from general lore perspective in sense it treats player as newcomer and gradually introduces fundamentals of the setting and each clan. Assuming one can tolerate clunky and sometimes tedious gameplay.

I love both VN's, visuals and music are incredible. Just make sure to play them in order, otherwise many things in Shadows will make not sense. Funnily one of the two Shadows' endings actually relates to Redemption events.
NOT IN, but I thought you might want to see a few of my watches....

First up is my Hello Kitty charm bracelet type watch. Did anyone have any doubts that the cat enthusiast of the forum would also be a minion of the Hello Kitty?

The other picture is two fob watches that were originally my grandfather's until he passed.

I have a few others, but they didn't photograph very well - like an Aristocats watch. It has a shiny image and even with the flash turned off, it just photographed poorly. I also have a gold plated watch where you can see all the internal mechanisms, and it's also a wind-up.

Thanks a lot for the input. I should be able to get over the controls (after all, I've finished System Shock 1). I am very interested in the WoD universe too, so the clan introductions should be a nice bonus. You sold me on finally getting into the VNs. I'll install them now. I also got a bunch of what looks like text adventures in that bundle, but.. I am open to try it.

Of course! I am very interested in seeing your watches even if you are not in for the giveaway. The bracelet type watch and the fob watches are very unusual pieces. Great contribution! Make sure to take good care of your grandfather's heirlooms :)

If you have Night Road in there then it's excellent text RPG (presentation is bare-bones though - well, literally just text).

Just a tip for playing Coteries of New York: it's impossible to finish all plotlines in single playthrough, which game doesn't make clear, hence when it comes to quests for companions you should focus on 2. There are 4 of them, each with own quest chain, and you're able to finish at most about 2.5 of those in one playthorugh. As for checking different outcomes and plotlines, there is button (ctrl I think) which skips everything until next decision point, so you can replay whole game to see just new content in like an hour.

Ok, end of offtopic :P
Edit: random off-topic silliness, sorry!

Bloodlines giveaway, can't miss it so definitely in. Can't afford $9.99, if only i pulled the trigger when you could get it with $4.99.

My first watch was a Casio AW-48HE, got it in the 5th grade. Probably lasted for around 4 years. Really liked that one. For daily use nowadays I'm using a cheap Alba.
