This one takes place in the same setting as SMT IV. I admit, the handling of story and the characters isn't on the same level as the previous game. Having said that, Apocalypse improves upon many of the gameplay mechanics, such as skill affinities with the demon whisper and the ability to select your active partner depending on what type of assistance you require. If Shin Megami Tensei IV is preserved, so should this.

Perhaps the most divisive Megami Tensei game (this side of Giten, anyway), but definitely worthy of consideration, alongside its predecessor. Not sure exactly how to describe this one: a side story? A "what if?" alternative take on the original? A story of succession, where the characters of 4 pass the baton over to the party in this one, just to watch them sprint laps? I loved it either way, and would be overjoyed to see this little slice of 3DS gaming preserved on GOG

I never played this myself but I remember seeing ads and coverage of it. The premise of someone being resurected by a god in exchange for service has always stuck with me. I would love to play it and a GOG release would be nice compared to hunting down a 3DS copy.
