I played this game on my PS4 for the 1rst time, so the amount of time I've spent on this game isn't accurate. Bloodborne was my very 1rst FromSoftware game, so then I went to try out this one. I don't think there's another game in the market that has made me replay it over and over and over again to the extend that I've done with this game. It's one of the few games where I feel proud about having multiple save files, builds, and different ways of running through it. Fighting through the many amazing and unforgiving bosses, interacting with all the NPCs, and seeing the world that Hidetaka Miyazaki and his team have formed in this game. It is in my Top 10 Games of all time, and it holds a very special place in my heart. I suffered and struggled a lot in my first playthrough, but ever since then, it's something I always come back to enjoy. I got to play through the DLCs years ago and actually beat them, and it just made me want to end my time with the game on a strong note. I'll come back to it every now and then, but it's truly a game I would recommend anyone to go through.
i just started playing this game in 2024, but this game saved my life, i had alot going on since 2022, and i didnt have any motivation to keep going, but dark souls 3 is different. it taught me to keep pushing forward no matter what, every boss fight felt like a refelction of my struggles hard. unforgiving, but never impossible. with each defeat, i learned to get back up, and with every victory i felt a little stronger. this game didnt just give me an escape, it gave me a reason to believe in my self again. the constant cycle of dying and learning taught me that failure isnt the end. its just another step toward growth. it made me realize that no matter how dark things get, there's always a light ahead if i keep moving forward. dark souls 3 became more than just a game to me, it became a symbol of resilience and hope, remindiing me that even when life feels impossible, i can always try one more time and honestyle its the only soulsborne game i can play properly. im just so glad my pc barely met the minimum requirements and managed to run it a bit smoothly, i remember trying elden ring, hoping to experice that same feeling, but all i got was 25-30 FPS, and it was barely playable. it felt like life was mocking me again, like even when i tried to chase something i loved, i was held back by things i couldnt control, but dark souls 3 it ran well enough and that was all i needed, it was like the universe gave me just one chance to hold on to something and im so grateful that i did.
This is probably the pinnacle of the traditional souls formula. Almost everything has been fine-tuned in comparison to the original Dark Souls. Add in the DLC and amazing boss-fights, and this game is a perfect candidate to be added to the GOG library.

why are people voting for newish games and games that are already preserved via steam? save the resources for games that are more obscure and cant be accessed at all on modern platforms. this vote completely misses the point of good OLD games. OLD OLD OLD! its right there in the name. Old means like... over 10yrs ago or something.
Those games also need your vote!
Monster Hunter 2
Monster Hunter 2Monster Hunter 2 has an improved weapon tree and upgradeable armors. As in all Monster Hunter games, armor pieces can be worn to obtain skills and abilities. A new feature in Monster Hunter 2 is the use of gems. Gems add skill points to complement those added by armor and weapons. Gems are created by combining ore and/or monster parts. Gems can be attached and detached from armor and weapons that have special gem slots. Along with the various species of monster returning from the first Monster Hunter, Monster Hunter 2 contains many new monsters, such as the metallic wind dragon Kushala Daora, the lion-headed dragon Teo Teskatoru (named Teostra in the North American and PAL versions of Monster Hunter Freedom 2) and his female counterpart Nana Teskatory (named Lunastra in the North American and PAL versions of MHF2), the primates Babakonga and Dodobrango (Congalala and Blangonga in MHF2), the bull or minotaur-like monster Rajang, and the chameleon-like dragon Oonazuchi (Chameleos in MHF2). With new monsters also comes the prospect of new weapons and armor.

Double Dragon II: The Revenge
Double Dragon II: The RevengeThe original arcade version of "Double Dragon II" is essentially an improved version of the first game. The biggest change in the game's controls are in the replacement of the original's punch and kick buttons with two directional-based attack buttons (Left Attack and Right Attack) similar to Renegade. Pressing the attack button of the player's current direction will do a standard series of punches, while pressing the opposite attack button will perform a back kick. A few new moves are added as well, including a Hurricane Kick. Like in the original game, the arcade version of Double Dragon II is divided into four missions: a heliport, a lumber storehouse, a wheat field, and the new hideout of the boss. Each stage has its own boss character with his own theme. After defeating Willy (the final boss from the original game) in the fourth stage, the player will confront a double of their own character for the game's final battle. If two players reach the end together, then both will each to have to face their own clone for the final battle.
