Red Dead Redemption had a significant impact on my life by immersing me in its rich, open-world narrative and forcing me to reflect on themes of redemption, morality, and personal choice. As John Marston, I navigated the struggles of seeking justice while grappling with my past, and this journey made me reflect on the complexities of my own life. The game's breathtaking environments, realistic mechanics, and emotional storytelling created an experience that felt incredibly personal and engaging. Red Dead Redemption is a fantastic game because it blends compelling storytelling with an expansive world, where every action has meaning, and every character feels alive. It taught me the importance of self-reflection and the weight of choices, while providing an unforgettable gaming experience that still resonates with me today.
Been replaying this on my PS3 recently. Still holds up. Top notch gameplay, great voice acting, world design, mission structure, etc. Arguably this game and it's sequel are the two best games Rockstar ever made. I'd like to see it preserved.

Detective Evangelion
Detective EvangelionDetective Evangelion (Meitantei Evangelion), an adventure/strategy PS2 game published by Broccoli, follows Shinji Ikari, a detective hired by Nerv, as he attempts to uncover the truths behind a series of murders. The game was released in Japan on Jan 17, 2007 and include voices from all the original Seiyū. There were 2 editions of the game: a standard edition which included a Nerv magnifying glass/key chain if you pre-ordered; and the premium edition (about 26,040円) which included a multi-face analog watch. You play as Shinji the detective in an adventure style gameplay, talking to the Nerv personel and other people in the environment in order to pick up clues within the conversations. The game starts as Shinji emerges from an outdoor stall with sirens blaring in the background. He then finds Rei Ayanami being attacked by a teenager with tentacles. Shinji must then fight the teenager in order to free Rei. From this point on, you pick locations and explore, the ultimate goal being to discover the identity of the killer that's committing murders all over Nerv and Tokyo-3. At each of the locations, you can interact with the people there, with the occasional action sequence or mini game. All of Shinji's friends, Gendo and Misato all appear in the game.

Radiant Silvergun
Radiant SilvergunUnlike in most other shoot 'em ups, there are no power-ups. All weapons are available from the start. Weapons can 'level up', however, becoming more powerful as the player uses them to score points. There are a selection of 7 weapons that can be used at any given time: The game is designed so that there is almost always a 'right' weapon for any situation. The bosses in the game are designed so that they have multiple 'sections' which, if all destroyed before the 'core' of the boss, will award the players with point bonuses. Being able to apply the right weapons on any different boss is key to obtaining these bonuses. For example, a boss may have two sections located on either side of the screen. You could immediately go up to one and begin shooting it with a vulcan, or you could hover in the centre and hit both at the same time with the side bombs. This would increase your chance of obtaining the bonus before the time limit runs out and the boss self-destructs. The game rewards players for "chaining" enemies of just one of three colors, red, blue, or yellow. Whenever the player kills three enemies that are of the same color, who can obtain a points bonus. This also facilitates faster upgrading of weapons.
