All i get is the wolfs head. Nothing I have done has worked to get the game to launch.
Assuming you have an AMD card and have fullscreen enabled (I had the same problem yesterday), all you need to do is set the game to run in windowed mode.
I have the same issue and setting the game to windowed mode doesn't seem to have any effect whatsoever.
I got an activation patch error and I downloaded a paid for copy from GOG. What a disappointment. My first and last expereience with gog. It has been nothing but frustration for the last 3 hrs.
id be happy to help you troubleshoot if u want..

i dont really understand the problem atm..do u have msn ??
I went through the whole instatlation process for witcher 2. The last step when the activation patch starts to run is says error not authentic copy or some such thing. Bottom line it does not complete the activation process and then the game will not launch. Very frustrating.
okay..

Im not a expert on the in and outs of the GoG downloader but from past experience with other similia programs with similia problems heres what i would do.

1.Close GoG downloader entirely than try it again it should restart the verify process
2.Close GoG downloader and with your previous error determine what file it might of failed on by the progress bar..remove that file..let gog redownload that file..and let it verify again..
3.Contact GoG support and ask for assistance
4.Use google to see if theres any workarounds

Hope this helps in some way really do..sorry u got this problem
Getting the exact same thing, re-installing and redownloading doesnt help, changing the resolution (monitor or in the launcher) does nothing. Latest ATI drivers installed
strange hoyp..

u see u downloaded the entire thing more than 1 and got same issue ??.. theres always network problems that can cause these issues..

1.Turn Off Anti Virus
2.Turn Off Firewalls
3.Turn Off Any Form Of Filtering

Than try ?
I dont run any antivirus, very frustrating
if u have all filtering programs turned off, and u tried what i already said the only other things i can suggest are just high guesses lol and dont really recommend u doing because it shouldnt effect it at all..

1.Download the files using a different downloader ?
2.If you experience this issue with other downloads maybe its something to do with your modem ? most modems have filtering inbuilt and require them to be turned off when issues like this pop up ?

im trying to help guys sorry im im epic failing lol
Maybe this will help king. I think I narrowed the issue down to the patch.exe. after installing for the 3rd time it gets stuck there with critical error message. Something about incomplete copy. The whole thing has be copied not sure what the deal is.
okay..

if its just the patch can u tell me what has already been done to the files ? has it been installed? can u find the installed directory and it looks like any other installed game ?? if so would it be possible to download the patch on the internet drag and drop into the directory than rerun the process ? if the game comes up as already patched would it work ?? just some ideas have no clue if its possible but it might be...

are u able to redownload that patch officially thru the downloader ? u tried deleteing the patch files than re running the downloader ? it should resume and restart the patch files..

ill keep helping until u get it fixed :Dhang in there!
I tried deleting the patch.exe file and restarting gog downloader no success. It said I had all the files. This just makes no sense. Maybe I just delete everything and start all over again.
can u post a screen shot of the entire proccess ur doing ? so i have a exact idea.

if its the patch file thats failing than redownloading it should fix the problem..

have u tried delete the gog downloader than redownloading the gog downloader and trying again ? and just for the sake of it :

1.Are u administrator ?
2.Is UAC turned off ?
3.U experience alot of files being corrupted after downloading ?
