Crysis 2 in max yet this game slows my computer to a crawl in town and after playing for a bit)
My old CPU = athlon 64 5600 2gb ram 560 ti oc (beta drivers installed 3d uninstalled ssao aa turned off)
New computer = phenom ii x4 3.4 4 gb ram 560 ti... Looking forward to actually playing this game.

Point of this thread? Ya witcher 2 is prob the most demanding game on the pc at this point, even without ubersampling
But it's SO worth upgrading for. :) My poor little laptop will just barely run it. Guess I'll have to start feeding the piggy bank.
At the same time it's surprisingly pretty on the lower setting, which seem quite within the reach of most machines less than 3years old!

True, true. I'm happy with it at the lowest settings and will be thrilled when I can eventually run it full blast.

On medium graphics it is surprisingly pretty still. I would like to be able to run the game on higher settings, but I'll have to live with this for a while at least.
This is one of the games I got a new PC built for.

Same, pretty much the main game I built my new £1500 PC for

1500 quid? Ouch, but MAN, I bet you have a nice picture. Enjoy! :)
It's only so demanding because it's poorly optimized at the moment. Patch next week may fix that.
Yep, spent $1800 (australian) on new pc.
Worth it.
yeah I'll get a GTX 570 for this game, with the rest I'm good
This is my rig:

Intel q6600 2.4ghz oc'ed @ 2.8ghz
6gb ddr2 ram
1 TB HDD 7200rpm
Geforce GTX 560ti

Is it worth upgrading at all? (yes I bought the gfx card like 2 months ago)
I'm running

i5-760 oc'ed to 3.3ghz
4gb ddr3 ram at 1600mhz
768mb GTX 460
1TB HDD 7200 rpm

I run the game at 1680x1050 with everything turned to ultra and ubersampling off and I get stable frame rates around 40fps
@aznheadbanger

WTF dude? Really

I"m having only cutscene issues, but aside from cutscene in gameplay i get 55-60 fps on my machine

I do have a geforce 560ti and i'm running it at 1920x1080

Maybe my graphics card does make that much of difference?

Of course it does.
GeForce GTX 560Ti pounces on the GTX 460, performance-wise.
