WTF dude? Really

I"m having only cutscene issues, but aside from cutscene in gameplay i get 55-60 fps on my machine

I do have a geforce 560ti and i'm running it at 1920x1080

Maybe my graphics card does make that much of difference?

MysterD: Of course it does.
GeForce GTX 560Ti pounces on the GTX 460, performance-wise.
It does but my gpu is overclocked, I have a better cpu than him thats at a higher clock speed with an aftermarket fan that keeps it at 40 degrees C at a full load, and probably better ram. I'm also running it at a lower resolution.

byrc: This is my rig:

Intel q6600 2.4ghz oc'ed @ 2.8ghz
6gb ddr2 ram
1 TB HDD 7200rpm
Geforce GTX 560ti

Is it worth upgrading at all? (yes I bought the gfx card like 2 months ago)
I can't believe this a serious question.
You should move to a DDR3 board and RAM asap, though.

I'm upgrading my video card as soon as I'm able. My 9800GTX+ can't play it that well, and it gets so hot that my room temperatures go up like crazy. Finished my first play through, waiting to upgrade before I do another.
waiting for all the hardware to arrive to put the new rig together, have the game sitting on the desk waiting.

its like a smack head sitting with a bag in one hand and a needle in the mail ;)
My rigs barely over a year old, but Witcher2 is the most demanding game I've seen since NWN2.

i7 920 - OC'd to 4Ghz w/liquid cooling
6gb DDR3 Muskin RAM
2x EVGA GTX 480 Superclocked, SLI'd.
300mb WD Velociraptor
HP LP3065 30" monitor (2560x1600 native)

I'm running the game at 2560x1600 (although, ironic, I have to lower my desktop res for the game to boot) with nearly all the settings at maximum. I turned down the shadows & shadow lights a bit, I never notice those, and disabled motion blur.

My FPS is around 40-50. Of course I can't run ubersampling, it drops it down to like 15. Two overclocked 480's and they get humbled by that setting, lol.
Any GTX 400+ card will still play most new games on high, so I don't think its worth upgrading if you have such a card, maybe in another year or so.
I built my rig for rendering before college and have upgraded the GFX card to an SLI setup since.

ASUS P6T
i7 920 @ 2.6
6GB DDR3 1600
1.5 TB 7200 rpm WD Caviar Black
500 GB 7200 rpm WD Blue
2x 1GB MSI Hawk GTX460
950W Corsair PSU

Of course I maxed the graphics first thing.

Ubersampling on = ~30 fps
Ubersampling off = Silky smooth 60 fps

Every time I load up this game I'm stunned by its beauty.
Also I highly recommend using a controller. I'm using a PS3 controller and it makes the game quite awesome. Shame the console crowd won't get to experience this masterpiece.
From what I can tell based on the responses in this thread and others. This game is very CPU dependent... Kinda caught me off guard when it was released but I guess it was time for a ug anyways :)

chautemoc: It's only so demanding because it's poorly optimized at the moment. Patch next week may fix that.
Good point. I haven't had that much in the way of performance problems, but it could be better I guess, as there have been a few minor issues. I hadn't really thought about the optimization aspect, nor has anyone else from what I've seen.
Forgot, my system specs are Intel Core i7 960 @3.2 Ghz, 6 Gb of DDR3 Memory, and ati HD5770 with 1 Gb of GDDR 5 memory. Game installed in Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on a WD 1 TB Caviar Black Hdd.

You can use a PS3 controller !?!?!? I had heard you could use an Xbox Controller, but that is the first I ahd heard of the PS3. I have a PS3 and two controllers.

Thanks for that, I may just give it a try. : )
well you will notice that even with one of your 480's you should get about the same FPS. i also have SLI 480's and with the way the game and nvidia drivers are right now, the second card will not add much benefit. at least just one of my 480's running it with my computer set at stock speeds i get the same FPS as you and only ubersampling is disabled.
