I'm curious how deep gog goes into the wishlist. I mention that because it looks like almost all the top 10 are lucasarts games and while it would be awesome, I very much doubt that company will ever hand over its intellectual property.
I am curious why you haven't released planescape yet, since it was an interplay game and all. Is it something to do with the D&D license?
Finally, I know it's #1 but I just want to say to the community that System Shock 2 is one of the most overrated video games of all time. The Thief engine was specifically designed around AVOIDING combat, which is mandatory in SS2, the RPG elements are shoehorned into this action FPS by way of the most egregious "virtual incompetence" ever, your guns will fall apart before you run out of ammo, and the ending is a HUGE disappointment.

Obviously, you're minority of people who thinks that :-P
Look at my avatar. Don't try.
Well in my personal opinion, sure it does get a tad bit more elevated praise than it might deserve.
And you know, even broken games can be popular and wholly enjoyable like act cadenza or morrowind.

Burn the heretic, kill the mutant, purge the unclean.... as fenix said, you are the minority :)

Your guns are supposed to fall apart....it's part of the horror/survival aspect. Also, it adds a wee bit of realism as a gun that is not maintained will fall apart.
The combat is neccessary because you cannot parley with The Many who happens to be a flesh version of the Borg.
The RPG elements are mostly character skill development.
Also, you can avoid combat if you find a hacked turret and lead your enemies into it. Hell, you can just run if you don't feel like fighting.
It may be "overrated" but it is miles better than Crysis which only has grafixxx on its side...
I don't know how much SS2 improved over 1 but I found 1 to be very clumsy and whilst the ideas looked good, I felt like I was forever fighting with the controls and never got to have any fun with the game

Oh system shock 1 isn't all that fun imo.
2 is really a huge improvement. Albeit it'll take some key remapping.

I take System Shock 1 over System Shock 2 anytime. It had cyberspace!!

I think both had pros and cons, but like what drmlessgames said, SS1 had cyberspace; plus hacking was better handled than Shock 2's trial-n-error
However, I prefer System Shock 2, simply because it is less Ultima Underworld-ish. Not that I don't like UU, but I feel SS2 had better atmosphere and was more "lived in" than SS1
I've never played SS1 nor SS2, and that's the reason I will buy both of them in a heartbeat if they show up in gog.
I'd probably buy them myself just to give them another go
just popping in here to see what all is available. sadly no tie fighter :(
was actually surprised to see it so low on the wishlist. anyways i see lots of BG1+2 and planescape wanters is that to have so you can burn it to disk or something? because those are available to play so was just wondering.

I love SS2 but this is definetly a part that I never liked, it was even partially corrected in a patch, it's an "ambiance trick" but not very realist either; yes a gun not maintained will fall apart (well most likely jam and not fall apart)... but not after you fire three times with it and with modern gun (today guns not sci-fi gun) it will really takes a lot of misuse, not to mention that laser gun are very unlikely to "jam" for obvious reason.

Ha ha, disorientation!
I have to agree that was pretty cool.
I agree with lowyhong.
