I guess you could say they're all the same in terms of performance. I was hoping to get a GTX 285 but it wouldn't fit in my case (any of them).
PC 1 8800GT
PC 2 7600GT
PC3 Voodoo 2 8MB x2 PCI
x1950 pro 256 and 8700M GT 512 on the laptop.
Both are flawed :(.
The x1950 has the characteristics of an overheat issue but the sensors don't detect it (textures going wild and in the end, freeze of the computer or shutdown of the video card);
the 8700M GT has pixels issues in 16 bits mode (pain in the ass for old games): I have quite a large amount of red pixels all over the screen in this mode, and got dead pixels at boot at the top of the screen. Oh it also suffers from the textures stretching thing.

HD4850 for me :P
8800 GTX for PC, craptop has integrated GMA 950, iMac has some 8 series.
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB DDR3
My laptop has the Mobile Intel 965 Express card in it. It sucks but at least it plays the older games really well. Arx Fatalis, Gothic 2 on high settings and every little detail maxed out : no problem. Newer games.....welllll.......1024X768 is about the highest I cab go without entering molasses territory.
I have other PCs in various states of functionality and I think I am running an ATI card with 256 MBs of VRAM on it.
BFG 6800 Ultra OC(256mb)
It is still holding up fairly well even on the newer games. I can't max any settings now adays but at least I can run the games.

aluinie: i have 2x geforce 9800 gtx in sli mode (makes supreme commander run well) :)

Not convinced you need SLI for that - my single 8800 Ultra (and GTX prior to that) ran it perfectly maxed out.
I have a nVidia 8400 GS 512 MB.
Does the trick.
I have a 8800 GTS 320MB
Sapphire ATI X1950 XT 256MB... and I hate it, it keeps crashing whenever I open/close OpenGL applications.

I've never had anything but trouble with ATi cards. Stick to NVidia, that's my advice.

I've only had trouble with nVidia cards, so no thanks, this is my first of like ten ATI cards that I have had trouble with.

*shrug* To each his own, I guess.
