Get Master of Orion 1-3, Alone in the Dark 1-4, KKND 1&2, and more endangered Atari classics 65% off!

Out of all gaming industry brands in existence, Atari always was one of the most recognizable and respectable. For over 40 years the name has became inseparably associated with unpretentious gaming fun. The amount of progress a single company can bring to an industry is simply astounding. From game cabinets to home consoles, from 8-bit classics to recent blockbusters, from engineering to publishing--the company was always in the center of it. It's unlikely there are many gamers who weren't saddened by the news of company's trouble. Whatever happens now, we should hope that it will emerge victorious once the dust settles, as it did numerous times before. Gaming legends are forever, so today all there's left to say is: [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/atari_weekend_promo_120713]Thank you, Atari!

The entire Atari catalog on GOG.com is available 65% off. We're talking landmark titles like Master of Orion 1+2, Alone in the Dark 1+2+3, Total Annihilation: Commander Pack, Star Controll 1+2, and , among many others. Head out to the [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/atari_weekend_promo_120713]promo page, to see the entire selection. The offer lasts until Tuesday, July 16, at 3:59AM GMT. Don't miss out!
Does anybody know which games are most likely to remain on GOG and which are not ?

Fred_DM: the Atari of today is Infogrames, not the Atari which has brought gaming forward. and Infogrames doesn't exactly deserve thanks for basically running the Atari brand into the ground.
Oh come on, they've done some good things too.

tburger: Never played it. I bought it bacause it has post-nuclear setting ...I know I'm weird.

Ghorpm: I wouldn't call that weird. I bought Frank Herbert's Dune even though I read terrible reviews about it. Oh, how hard I tried to like this game! Then I tried even harder to accept this game the the way it is. Then I tried my very best not to hate the game. Result? I freaking HATE this game more than anything else in this world!!! It wouldn't be that bad but it has a word Dune in the title so it's a desecration! On the other hand... if the word "Dune" wasn't there I would never bought it in the first place ;)

Sooo... anyone else can say something about KKnD?
It's an average RTS game with some odd humor. Nothing special if you don't like RTS games, but if you do it's worth checking out. Especially for that price.
Now is time to decide... should I grab KKnD? What about its sequel? I wish I could hold off a purchase until I play the first game just to see if I like it.
Does anybody know if they have a demo?
For some reason my card was declined during the summer sale to get Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 on 75%off.

Fingers crossed it wil work now, when I get home, as it was the only game I was unable to buy for some reason.
I guess this is the time to finally buy alone in the dark 4 digitally. I'm not sure my boxed copy will work on modern hardware and i enjoyed it very much when it came out.

I used to be a huge fan of RTS games but I'm not anymore. I'm sure I would have enjoyed it back then but seriously doubt I will now. That's why I asked if there is anything special about it. Thanks for your answer I'll pass then...
Anyone here ever play B-17? The descriptions I keep reading are confusing the hell out of me. All I want is something to bring me back to my youth when I was the belly gunner on one. I don't like to talk about it; it was a very trying time for us all and the fact that I was unceremoniously kicked out of the air force after accidentally shooting down fourteen of my fellow bombers is still a sore spot for me.
Alone in the Dark : New Nightmare seems interesting, though I have not played any game this series.

It would be difficult to look back on, but at least you can take some comfort in the fact that when one of the bombers you shot down took out that German field marshal, it did help turn the tide of the war. One day the history books will acknowledge this.

I actually think the New Nightmare suffers. The originals, while old and dated, are still a lot of fun. It was one of the first things I bought when I joined and it was also my first giveaway, which unexpectedly people went nuts for; there are a lot of us that still treasure Alone 1-3.

Hm, lets see ,maybe I buy complete series.
This is as good a time as any to point out that Master of Magic is a must-buy for any TBS fan.
Nice promo, already have Rollercoaster Tycoon 1-3, Blood 1 and 2, both Total Annihilation, Darklands, Pirates! Gold Plus, Outcast and KKND 1, will buy at least KKND2. Thinking in get Star Control and Master of Orion, how is the difficulty of these for players who genereally don't play TBS, only RTS?
GOG, do you know something that we don't, or is this just a precautionary measure?
