Get Master of Orion 1-3, Alone in the Dark 1-4, KKND 1&2, and more endangered Atari classics 65% off!

Out of all gaming industry brands in existence, Atari always was one of the most recognizable and respectable. For over 40 years the name has became inseparably associated with unpretentious gaming fun. The amount of progress a single company can bring to an industry is simply astounding. From game cabinets to home consoles, from 8-bit classics to recent blockbusters, from engineering to publishing--the company was always in the center of it. It's unlikely there are many gamers who weren't saddened by the news of company's trouble. Whatever happens now, we should hope that it will emerge victorious once the dust settles, as it did numerous times before. Gaming legends are forever, so today all there's left to say is: [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/atari_weekend_promo_120713]Thank you, Atari!

The entire Atari catalog on GOG.com is available 65% off. We're talking landmark titles like Master of Orion 1+2, Alone in the Dark 1+2+3, Total Annihilation: Commander Pack, Star Controll 1+2, and , among many others. Head out to the [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/atari_weekend_promo_120713]promo page, to see the entire selection. The offer lasts until Tuesday, July 16, at 3:59AM GMT. Don't miss out!
Interesting sale, might pick up a game or two if they're really going to be removed.
Hmmmmmmm. Nice promo. Lets buy all up before the games disappear *Steam can wait*

Might as well download the games as well :)

Already have Rollercoaster Tycoon Deluxe; MOO1+2,Outcast and Chronicles of Riddick.
Thinking of getting

Blood 1+2
TA + TA Kingdoms (is the latter worth it?)
Pirates Gold Plus
Star Control 1+2+3
Independence War 2 + Independence War Deluxe

anything else worth it?.

How about KKnD? Is it anything special for somebody who is not really into RTS anymore? Is there any decent story there or rather "build your base, gather resources and krush your opponents?"

JaqFrost: Definitely buying Outcast, but does anyone have any recommendations on not-so-obvious gems in this collection?
Total Annihilation -- one of the best games on GOG, IMO, and a shame if it disappears.

G-Doc: Whatever the fate of the Atari IPs might be, we'll do all in our power to keep all of the games available for you in our catalog.
If Atari is willing to sell their rights (and Desperados and Silver show they are) then GOG should ask Atari "how much?"

It would hurt GOG a lot if you would have to remove those games from sale.
Yeah, Nolan Bushnell's original Atari is NOT the rebranded Infogrames but nice sentiment all the same, info-tari did do some damn god stuff over the years too - like Outcast for example

It's not very important for me. Actually I always prefer medieval/fantasy settings than sci-fi/apocalyptic. It there anything else worth mentioning?

Never played it. I bought it bacause it has post-nuclear setting ...I know I'm weird.
the Atari of today is Infogrames, not the Atari which has brought gaming forward. and Infogrames doesn't exactly deserve thanks for basically running the Atari brand into the ground.
Outcast is a must get. The music of TA is amazing, one of Jeremy Soules best.
Such GOG's bestsellers as Master of Magic and Master of Orion might dissapear from the catologue? God, no!
Hurry you never know this may be one of the last times you can get Master of Orion 3 :)

Joking aside there are some good games here, though I have most of the ones I want, that said I might get B-17 Flying Fortress even though I'm rubbish at flight sims. Oh wait krush Kill 'N' destroy extreme, how did I miss buying that one before.
Thank you GOG and Atari, nice:)

I wouldn't call that weird. I bought Frank Herbert's Dune even though I read terrible reviews about it. Oh, how hard I tried to like this game! Then I tried even harder to accept this game the the way it is. Then I tried my very best not to hate the game. Result? I freaking HATE this game more than anything else in this world!!! It wouldn't be that bad but it has a word Dune in the title so it's a desecration! On the other hand... if the word "Dune" wasn't there I would never bought it in the first place ;)

Sooo... anyone else can say something about KKnD?
