Honestly, how could it be bad? Then again, I said that about Hellgate:London, too, so maybe I'm wrong. It does look really cool, though a la a more arcade-y Diablo game

A bit like Titan Quest. And Titan Quest was really good, if you ask me. Wait, Titan Quest is LIKE Diablo.

TQ is awesome. Playing it this month, along with KOTOR II.

Check out the DRM issue first though if that matters to you.

michaelleung: It's on Steam for prepurchase. Says it includes the editor.

All versions will include the editor.
Well, according to the response I got on Twitter, they haven't actually decided where they are distributing the editor:
@bansama At this time, Preditor may be a free download from several other sites, including ours. We haven't fully figured that out yet.
So despite the Steam store page saying it includes the editor, this may not actually be correct.
I'll be getting the game on Tuesday. I'll let you all know what DRM is on it.

Well, I hope that I'll be able to click into the Tools tab and magically see the Preditor right there.
Instead of hiding it on the tools tab, they could always add it as a launch option similar to how COD asks if you want to launch single player or multiplayer.
Either way, I'm not preordering just yet. So that I can leave my options open =)

I suppose you could wait for the demo, but you're missing out on a Steam deal that may not be the best, but it's not bad.

Why would you assume I'd miss out on a $2 off deal? That deal is valid right up until the moment it's released after all... (And will be valid after the game is released on several other services, considering how slow Valve are at releasing games).

Really? I thought it ends this week. Eh, whatever.
Indeed , the DRM was removed some time ago. I always use a pirated version first to see if i like the game. Titanquest was no different. I liked it and bought it.
I had no crashing exiting the tunnel , i did have rubber banding sometimes but it solved itself by resetting the page file size.
But to retake the discussion , i tend to buy games a lot faster without DRM inside them.
I usually compare it as buying a brand new car but you can't drive it before you call the manufacturer to pass a securitycode.
Tendancy shows that DRM free games get sold a lot easier.
Torchlight is now also 10% off on GamersGate.
